Cayde's P.O.V:
I wake up. She is sleeping next to me peacefully. She is so cute when she sleeps. I kiss her forehead. I don't want to wake her up. I get up and start putting my armor on.
" You are about to leave not even having said a good morning. " I hear her voice.
I jump from the shock. The one time she is sleeping and now she is looking at me with a fake sad face.
" I didn't want to wake you up. You were sleeping so peacefully. " I answer continuing putting my armor on.
" So today we won't have round 2. " She notices maintaining her sad face.
" I would love to but Zavala won't like it at all, especially after yesterday. " I respond.
" You are right. I can't wait for the weekend. " She states smiling.
" Me too my love. " I agree. I wear all of my armor now. I kiss her for good bye and take my leave.
Reader's P.O.V:
I see him leaving. I close my eyes. I want to sleep more. Pity. I can't. I sigh. I get up and wear my armor. I eat my breakfast and leave.
I will do some patrols today. In my way for the Hangar, I see that rumor-hunter. He sees me too. Oh shit. He is coming towards me.
He says hello and starts speaking. Speaking and speaking. It was so boring. I finally learn his name. He is called Jimmy. He is going to Cayde too.
We enter the Hangar. I wave to Amanda. She waves back. Cayde sees me and smiles. Jimmy next to me did the same to Amanda and heads to Cayde.
And then I see it. I grab his hand and pull him backwards. A bullet passes inches away from his face. I let him go and grab my gun. They were 3. A warlock, a hunter and a titan.
I turn to face them. I pull the trigger. I kill the titan. The warlock throws at me something frozen. Stasis. And darkness consumes me.
Cayde's P.O.V:
The warlock throws something at her. She freezes immediately. I throw my knife. The dagger pierces his neck. He is dead. Jimmy casts his arc super and kills the hunter.
I come closer. I can see their faces. They were light bearers. Not anymore. Someone took their light and manipulated them. Now they are dead for good.
I turn. She was supposed to have broken the ice. Something is wrong. Her ghost appears.
" Cayde, they did something to her. I can't communicate with her. I can't feel her. It's like she is dead. But she isn't. " He says being concerned and shocked.
I turn to Jimmy. He is shocked.
" Go to the other 2 Vanguards and tell them to come here immediately. It's an emergency. " I order him.
He nods and leaves.
" Don't worry my queen. We gonna find a way to bring you back. " I whisper next to her ear and kiss her frozen cheek.
