I run after her. I see her throwing a card. No. She must have thrown my Queen of Hearts. She enters her house. I stop running. There is no point. I take the card feeling my heart broken. I stand in front of her door. I can hear someone crying inside. God, I want her to be only happy and safe. I knock. She stops. Logically to gain her lost composure. Her ghost teleports in front of me.
" What does the mister Vanguard wants ? " He asks with sarcasm.
" I want to speak with her. " I answer. Did he just called me mister Vanguard ? Anyway. I decide to ignore it.
" What a pity that she can't say no to a Vanguard. " He commends and enters her house.
Sundance appears next to me.
" He really loves his guardian. " She remarks.
" Yeah. " I agree and sigh.
The door opens. She comes out. Her eyes are swollen from crying. I can see how much pain I caused.
" Listen, I am sorry. I didn't mean to. I was just. I didn't know if you wanted to keep our relationship private or ... . " I apologize. I look at her. She is ready to cry again. She looks away. I can't resist, I hug her. " Thanks for the card. It really means a lot to me. " I whisper.
She stays like this. She doesn't hug me back but she doesn't also pull away. We stay like this for a while.
" What were you saying about me earlier ? " She finally speaks.
" The Drifter showed us the moment you used Stasis in Gambit. I said that we should publish it to let everyone see that you are using darkness for good. But Stelios claimed that it was personal data and that we must take your permission first. And then I said, you know what. And you also know the rest. " I reply still hugging her.
She rests her head on my chest. " I see. " She responds. " Cayde. "
" What is it my queen? " I inquire.
" I give you my permission. " She says.
" I will handle the rest. " I promise her kissing her cheek.
Reader's P.O.V:
He kisses my cheek. I blush.
" Thanks for the card. It really means a lot. " He repeats to point it out and smiles.
I blush again.
It starts raining. I break the hug. I smile at him. I turn to enter my house.
" I love you. " He says. " And I am sorry if I hurt you. " He continues.
I freeze. He caught me by surprise. I turn to face him. He is standing 2 footsteps away.
" I love you too my king. " I whisper.
He comes closer. His hands playing with my wet hair. He kisses me, I kiss him back. I break the kiss after a while to breathe.
" Let's go inside. " I suggest.
He smiles and follows me inside.
