Cayde's P.O.V:

Finally 8.

I go towards her house.

I knock on the door. No answer. I knock again. She must not be here. She forgot it ? Impossible. What if she doesn't want to go out with me ? We are friends and we've done this thousands of times with the others. What if-

" CCayde, hi, sorry I am late. The patrol lasted a little longer. "

I look at her. Her armor is in a very bad condition. Something clearly unexpected happened.

" Are you ok ? We can do this an other day ya know. "

" No no I'm good. Just give me a little time to get ready. "

" As much as you wish. " I say politely giving her a warm smile.

She smiles, gives me a kiss on the cheek and enters her house.

" Did you see that Sundance ? Omg, she maybe likes me !!! "

Reader's P.O.V:

" He was more formal and polite than the usual, something is happening. " I say to my ghost.

" If you sit here and start speaking, he will be waiting for you for an hour. " My ghost remarks.

" You are right ! " I agree.

I dismount my broken armor and take a small shower. After this I wear a black beautiful dress, black bouts and a white jacket for the difference. I take my dagger and my hand cannon and leave my home.

I sense his eyes scanning me.

I smirk at him and tell him : " I am ready now. "

" You are soo beautiful. " He says. Was this admiration on his voice? I blush.

" Thank you. " I answer and take the hand that he has just offered me.

We head to the shop.

Silence.

I could see him looking at me all the time. Does he like me ? He doesn't act like always. He is serious. Something is happening.

We are finally here.

I choose a booth and we sit. He doesn't sit in front of me but next to me. Ok, something is happening.

" What are we gonna order ? " I ask.

" I was thinking of spicy ramen. But choose everything you want my Princess. " He replies with a big smile.

" I -ahem- will like some spicy ramen too. " I say. Did he just call me his princess ? I want him to do this again !!!

The waiter comes and Cayde orders.

" Sooo, ( Y/N ), you asked me later if this was a date. " He says

I nod.

He continues. " And I said that this won't be a date. "

I nod again, this time confused.

" Well, I always wanted to meet you. I mean, of course I've met you, but we never had the chance to speak alone with no missions, no Vanguards, no friends, nobody just you and me. This is why I did this whole thing. "

The waiter brings our food.

" I always wanted to meet you too Cayde. Alone. Just you and me. " I admit.

He smiles and starts eating.

I do the same.

Cayde's P.O.V:

We finish eating. I pay the waiter and we are out of the restaurant.

" Listen, Cayde, the food was perfect. It was a really wonderful evening. Thank you so much ! " She says and gives me a smile. She continues : " But tomorrow we've got a big day and we both need rest. Sooo see ya tomorrow. " She says and goes towards her home.

I run after her. I didn't have the chance to give her The Thing.

" WAIT ( Y/N ) ! " I scream.

She stops and turns to face me.

" What ? " She asks a little angry.

" Take this, open it and come to tell me what do you think, ok ? " I say giving her The Thing.

" Ok. " She agrees, she is confused now.

" Promise ? " I ask.

" Promise. " She says and smiles.
