Chapter 26

Clarke's POV

I wake up to my alarm, wrapped in Bellamy's arms like every other morning. I groan turning the alarm off before carefully getting up without waking up Bellamy to go get ready a bit before waking Madi up. I throw my hair in a messy bun still in Bellamy's shirt and a pair of pajama pants and head to get Madi up.

We are supposed to meet at Walden gas station at noon which is in between here and TonDc. Madi was upset last night when we told her about her going to visit Finn for the day. She kept telling me and Bellamy how she didn't want to go but we don't have a choice at all. I wish Finn would just leave the picture already and never come back.

I walk into Madi's room and sit on her bed and shake her lightly. "Come on Pumpkin we have to get up and eat," I tell her as she starts to wake up. "How up we go wake up Bellamy before breakfast?" I ask her. She sat up in her bed smiling and nodded. I lift her into my arms and walk towards mine and Bellamys room. I put my finger on my lips telling Madi she needed to be quiet.

I sit her down on the bed as she jumped onto him waking him up. "Bellmy breakfast, wake up," Madi says giggling. "I'm up, I'm up. Now did mommy put you up to this?" He says with his signature smirk. She nods as Bellamy gets upcoming towards where I was standing. He starts tickling my sides making me burst out laughing. Stella came in barking from all the noise concerned about us especially Madi.

"Oh hush Stella," Bellamy tells her. He stops tickling me so he could press his lips to mine. I feel the fireworks inside me go off every time I kiss him. I pull away smiling as Madi runs around the room with Stella. "Come on we need to get ready and eat before we leave," I say. Madi stops running around and gives me the same pouty li[p she gave me last night.

"How about we make eggs and bacon for breakfast and then when you get back we'll go out for ice cream?" I ask her. She nods smiling at me and runs out to the kitchen with Stella right behind her.

After breakfast, I got Madi ready before getting myself ready. I brushed out my hair and threw on a pair of leggings and one of Bellamy's sweatshirts. "Hey, you almost ready?" Bellamy asks walking in. "Yeah just give me one minute," I tell him.

He walks over and wraps his arms around my waist. "My clothes look amazing on you," Bellamy says making me blush. "I love you," I say giving him a peck on the check. "I love you too," Bellamy replies.

After dropping Madi off with Finn I was so nervous about how this visit was going to go. Finn didn't say anything besides he would meet us back here by 5. Madi was crying the whole time which broke both my and Bellamy's hearts. Finn didn't even say anything about Bellamy being with us which didn't bother me I just thought it was odd.

We are currently on our way to met up with our friends to tell them Bellamy and I are together since it's our last day before Madi goes back to school and I go back to work. I asked last night if everyone was free to meet up at Grounders bar and grill and which everyone agreed to.

"So you guys said you have news?" Raven asks coming to sit with Murphy. Everyone else had arrived and was trying to figure out the news we told them we had. "Let me guess you guys pulled your heads out of your asses and started dating?" Jasper asks. "Exactly," Bellamy says with his signature smirk. "Wait are you serious?" Murphy asks in shock. "You guys owe me 30 bucks," Miller says. "I'm so happy for you guys, but how did it even happen?" Harper asks.

"Back at the New Year party we drunkenly made out so after freaking out we talked which ended up leading us to kiss and get together," I explain. "Finally I thought it would never happen," Echo says. "I assume Madi was happy since she already loves Bellamy?" Roan asks. "She's pretty happy about it," I say honestly.

"Where is Madi anyway?" Octavia asks. "She is with Finn since he set up today to visit her," I respond. "So after all these months he finally wants to see her?" Lincoln asks. "I don't know I mean he didn't say a word when we dropped her off," Bellamy says. "Weird," Octavia says.

When we were about to leave I get a text from Finn saying he wants to meet early. I show Bellamy the text and he becomes just as confused as I am. On our way there I feel anxious about something. "I can tell you are anxious and I'm sure everything will be fine," Bellamy says breaking my thoughts. "I know it could just be nothing but I am still worried," I respond. "Don't think of the bad things think of the good things," Bellamy says holding my hand.

We pull up next to Finn's car and see Madi crying with Finn still in his car. I get out and walk over to Madi. "Mommy!" Madi yells running to me. "Finally I can be done," Finn says leaving his car. "You're the one who set up the time when you didn't have to," I say. "Yeah well I'm done here's the papers you deal with it," Finn says shoving the papers at me. "Then why are you trying to act like you care?" I ask frustrated.

Bellamy put Madi in the backseat of my car and gave her his phone to play watch a movie on so she doesn't have to hear Finn or us. "The only reason he's with you is because he just wants you as another dent in his bed," Finn yells. "That's not true Finn, he could have left by now but you know what he's been there, the one who has seen me in my worst state," I yell tears streaming down my face. "She will never be a dent in my bed she is someone you don't deserve to have," Bellamy says.

"And who might you be?" Finn asks. "Someone more of her father than you have ever been Finn. He is the one that is picking up the pieces you left me in," I say. "Whatever I need to leave I'm done with you all I signed the papers I don't care nor have I ever cared about her," Finn yells. He hopes in his car speeding off.

Bellamy wraps his arms around my waist as I stand there in shock. Tears were already streaming down my face as I feel a weight finally lifted off my shoulders. "Come on I'll drive us home so we can all just relax together we don't have to worry about him anymore," Bellamy says wiping my tears I nod as we get in the car.

"Mommy, will I ever have to see him again?" Madi asks. "I don't think so sweetie," I tell her trying to keep my voice study. "Mommy, why are you crying?" Madi asks. "I'm okay sweetie why don't you continue watching your movie it's going to be a bit okay?" She nods focusing her attention back on her movie.

Once we got home Madi and I changed into our pajamas while Bellamy went and got a movie set up in the living room. "Mommy?" "What pumpkin?" I ask her to help her with her pajama top. "Why did dad say he doesn't care about me and that I'm stupid?" She asks. "When did he say that honey?" I ask confused. "When he took me to get papers from a place," she says. "Honey you're not stupid okay? Don't listen to a word he told you, Bellamy and I both love you very much," I tell her as I pull her into a hug.

After our movie, Bellamy took Madi to bed since she fell asleep on him. While Bellamy put Madi to bed I cleaned the living room up a bit and took our dirty dishes to the kitchen to wash them. Bellamy ended up making lasagna since it's Madi's favorite thing he makes. "She's out and Stella is asleep with her," Bellamy says entering the kitchen wrapping his arms around me. "I know a lot is going on in that beautiful head of yours about everything but I'm never going to leave you guys I promise," He tells me.

I pull him in for a passionate kiss feeling all my worries start to leave. Not once when I was with Finn did I ever feel this way I felt trapped after all those years until I left. I always thought a home was a place until Madi and now both of them are my home."I love you so much," I say resting my head on his forehead. "I love you even more," He says. Bellamy and Madi were the home ones that I can count on.
