Chapter 10

Octaiva's POV

Clarke and I became closer same with the rest of our group it's amazing to have another girl in the group. I mean Monty, Jasper, and Murphy are great and all but they can get on my nerves sometimes. I am currently sitting at my desk doing lesson plans for tomorrow. I am also tired because I forgot my coffee at home.I hear my classroom door open and I turn to see Lincoln walking in with coffee. 

"Hey Lincoln what's up?"I asked turning towards him. "Well I heard you forgot your coffee so I brought you some," he says. "Oh my gosh thank you! How much was it? I'll pay you back, I ask grabbing it from him. "It's on me today," he replies with a smile. "Are sure I mean-" he cuts me off. "Don't worry about it I was getting coffee anyway," he says. "Thank you so much!" I tell him. "You're welcome! Have a great day" he says leaving the classroom. "You too," I reply. I never noticed how cute he was or how kind. Wait a minute am I falling for him?

Clarke's POV

Today my mom and I are going to look at a few houses while Madi is at school. I took today off while my mom just worked all morning. "Madi come on we need to get ready for school," I yell down the hall. Madi has been running around the house giggling and refusing to get dressed. This time my mom is working until 2, unlike last time. "Madi if you don't come get dressed now I can't take you to preschool," I say. She stops running around and walks into her room. I easily get her dressed and decide to leave her hair in its natural curls.

When we arrive at the preschool Madi smiles getting very excited. "Momma guess what?" She ask me. "What ?" I ask with a smile. "Today we're going to paint," She said as I help her out of the car. "That's exciting," I tell her. She skips while holding my hand into the building. She puts her stuff away and gives me a hug before running past Octavia walking towards me. "I have never seen her this energized," Octavia says. 

"I haven't either," I say with a laugh. "So we're planning on having a small party in a few weeks since my brother will back for a while and I want you and Madi to come so I can introduce you guys to him and some more of our friends," She says. "Sure just let me know the date so I can be sure she won't be with Finn," I reply. "When's the first time she'll see him?" Octavia asks. "Should be Friday and then she'll spend Saturday and come back Sunday morning." "I'll text you the details tonight," She says. We talk a bit more before I head home.

"Clarke, what time do we need to be at the first house?" My asks getting into my car. "2:10, "I reply. "Alright well let's head over there." I turn the car on and head over to the first house. It has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a small kitchen, and not a huge backyard. We then head to the second house which has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a small kitchen, but it didn't have a backyard or a garage. After checking out 2 more houses only 1 has been okay. We decided to continue the search this weekend while Madi is with Finn.

After I dropped my mom off I head to pick up Madi. As soon I enter the door I see Madi running over to me. "Mommy, Mommy, guess what?" Madi says. "What?" I respond. "Today we got to play with the big kids and the read books," she says wrapping her arms around me. So Octavia comes walking over to me. "Hey Clarke how was you're day?" She asks. "It was good just house hunting for a bit how about you?"

 "Pretty great and Madi is very talkative I must says," She says. "Well that's not a surprise she loves to talk about her day and everything," I reply with a smile. "Alright I'll let you guys head home I'll text you the details tonight," Octavia says. "Alright sounds good thanks, Octavia," I say grabbing Madi's bag. "No problem!"

"Mom we're home," I yell entering. "I'm in the laundry room," she yells. Madi takes her shoes off and runs to the laundry room. "Grandma," I hear her yell. I walk into the laundry room and see Madi hugging my mom. "Hi sweetie did you have a good day?" She asks Madi. "Mhm we played with the big kids and they read us books," She says. "Really? Did you like it?" She nods her head vigorously. "Clarke I want to talk to you after Madi goes to bed. Nothing bad I just want to talk to you," my mom says. "Okay," I reply.

Madi wanted pizza and applesauce for dinner so we made pizza with some applesauce. After dinner, I gave Madi a bath before she fell asleep. I walk out from Madi's room and see my mom sitting at the table waiting for me. "So what did you want to talk about?" I ask. "I am talking to a guy," She says. I am in complete shock. "I know you might take this hard but I want you to know I truly loved your father and it was hard for me too," She explains. "Not what I was expecting," I say with a nervous laugh.

 "His name is Marcus Kane and we have been talking for a few weeks now," ahs says. "Mom I'm happy for you and I know you love dad," I say. "We haven't officially been on a date but he asked me to go out with him sometime and I said yes," She says. "Mom I'm happy for you and I know dad would want us to be happy especially you," I say getting up and giving her a hug. 'Thanks, Clarke," She says. After talking a bit more I head to bed for the night.

Hey guys! I'M BACK BITCHES! Lol I had to do it. Anyway school has been kicking my butt along with dance but I don't have practice until Saturday but I still have tons of school work. Ugh!
