epilogue pt.1

Clarke's POV

It's officially Christmas and while things have been crazy they have also been amazing! A few months ago Harper and Monty got married, Bellamy started his new job at the police department in town, and Lincoln proposed to Octavia on her birthday. Harper and Monty got married last month. Madi has been loving kindergarten so far but still wishes Octavia could be her teacher again. While Madi's at school full time I started taking more shifts at the hospital during the week.

Today Bellamy and I are hosting everyone over for Christmas and a miny secret Santa. Madi has been super excited since everyone gets to come over here, especially because she gets to have Stella with her the whole time. I spent all of yesterday trying to get everything ready and clean before everyone came. Bellamy did most of the cooking while I cleaned and vacuumed since he is a way better cook than I am. It's currently noon and everyone will be here in an hour, I still have a few last-minute presents to wrap but other than that everything is ready. "Momma, look what I made daddy," Madi says running into the room. "I think he'll love that honey, did you show him yet?" I ask her. She shakes her head giggling. "Why don't we go show him? I need to put these under the tree?" I say showing her the wrapped presents. "I wanna do it, momma," she says, reaching for the presents. I hand her two small presents, one of them being Bellamy's. She carefully places the presents under the tree still holding her picture. "Can we go show daddy now?" Madi asks, looking up at me.

"Show me what?" I turn around and see Bellamy walking toward us. Madi turns and runs right into his arms. "Did you make this?" She nods her head smiling. "I love it, sweetie, I think we should hang it on the fridge for everyone to see," he tells her, "what do you think?" She smiles nodding her head. I follow them into the kitchen smiling at the cute little scene of them. "Momma look!" Madi says excitedly pointing to her picture. "I see that, you'll have to show everyone when they get here," I tell her, walking over to her.

"Mommy, when is everyone going to be here?" Madi asks. "Soon, why don't you look out the window in the living room so you can when they pull in?" She wiggles out of Bellamy's arms and runs to the living room with Stella following behind her. "Merry Christmas baby," Bellamy says, wrapping an arm around me. "Merry Christmas to you too," I say leaning into his arm. "Can you believe our little girl is almost 6? I mean it feels like just yesterday she learned to walk and now she's our big kindergartener," I say looking at him. "I know, I wish time would slow down just a bit, she's growing up so fast," he says. "Makes me want to have another little one running around here," he adds.

It wasn't anything new, we have talked about having more kids in the future multiple times but both agreed to wait till we're married before bringing another little one in. "Me too but I want to be married before that happens Blake," I say smiling. "I plan on it," he says as he kisses me. "Okay enough PDA you two, I am here to party!" Octavia says walking in. We break away smiling as Madi goes running past us. "Auntie O, guess what?" Madi says excitedly. "What's up pumpkin?" She asks. "I drew the picture on the fridge all by myself!" Madi says pointing to the picture on the fridge. "That's amazing sweetie!" Octavia says as Lincoln walks in with all the presents. "Here I can take some," Bellamy says, taking a few from Lincoln. "Thanks, man!" The guys head into the living room leaving us two girls in the kitchen. "So did you get it in time?" Octavia asks.

"Hello, hello bitches time to party!" Murphy yells while walking in with Raven. "Swear jar uncle Murphy," Madi says giggling. "How long till it's full?" Octavia asks. "I give it a month!" Bellamy yells. Soon everyone else comes with presents and food of course. Madi is getting all the attention she loves especially when she gets the boys to dress up in tutus and crowns with her. Even at dinner, she is treated like a princess the way she loves.

"Mommy guess what?" Madi says putting a crown back on a somewhat awake Jasper. "What pumpkin?" I ask her not to laugh. "I think Auntie Raven needs to teach uncle Murphy to be a princess better," she says giggling, "Daddy is the best princess but uncle Lincoln is getting good too!" She runs off back to where all of her princesses in training are, as I finish cleaning up from dinner. "So did you?" Octavia asks coming. "Yes Madi and I got it yesterday before he got off work, I talked to her about it and she was so excited," I told her. "Oh, what did you get," Raven asks. "I am not saying because I don't want anyone to hear till it's been opened," I say smiling. "You're not pregnant are you?" Raven asks. "That's not happening for a long time, for me at least."

"Mommy, can we open presents now?" Madi asks coming to change the subject. "Alright I will be in a minute to tell everyone," I tell her. She runs out of the room to the living room as everyone gathers around. "Okay, how do we want to start this?" I asked sitting next to Bell and Madi. "Let Madi open a few since she has so many and plus we have less since it's secret Santa," Octavia says. Madi grabs the first present with her name on it which is from Raven and Murphy. "Mommy look it!" She says holding up an art set. "Woah look at that, you will have tons of crayons and markers to use now!" I tell her as her face lights up. "I remember when you bought that because that was when we almost got kicked out of the craft store," Octavia says laughing. "Oh my gosh, yes! So Octavia and I were Christmas shopping and we saw this craft store out of town and when we went in Octavia ran into a shelf full of yarn and knocked the full basket over which made the worker so mad," Raven says laughing. "I can see that, O got us kicked out of Walmart in high school because it was midnight and we were messing around until she ran into someone and broke a can of Cool whip which went all of over," Jasper says joining in.

We were near the end of presents and I still hadn't given Bellamy his yet. "Okay, so Octavia is the only one who knows about this one except for Madi she helped me with this one," I say handing him an envelope. He looks at Octavia and then at me confused. "Open it Bell," Octavia says recording on her phone. He opens the envelope and pulls out the paper inside."It was something we had talked about but never ended up getting," I say smiling. He puts the paper down and looks at it with tears of joy glistening in his eyes. "What is it?" Jasper asks. "Adoption papers for Bell to legally become Madi's dad," Octavia says smiling. "I love you, daddy!" Madi says jumping on to us. " I love you even more my tiny princess just as much as I love your mom," he says, pulling me into a kiss.

"Okay last present which is one I think everyone knows about is to my beautiful girlfriend Clarke," Bellamy says making me blush. Murphy and Jasper run to the kitchen with Madi following at their heels. I look at Bellamy confused.

"Just give them a minute," Harper says. Madi comes walking back holding a big sign with Murphy and Jasper helping her hold it up. 'Will you marry my daddy?' Tears form in my eyes as I look at Bellamy who is down on one knee holding a tiny box with a ring.

"Clarke, before I met you I never understood what it was like to be in love. The moment I saw you it sparked something in me. I never understood it till I fell in love with you and Madi. The two of you have become one of the best things to ever happen to me and I want to spend the rest of my life with you two. Will you marry me?" He asks.

"Yes!" I say through my tears. He stands up and presses his lips to mine, kissing me. All of our friends were clapping and cheering as he slipped the ring on my finger. "Yay!" Madi yells as we pull away from our kiss. I laugh and scoop her up in my arms, making her giggle.

"I never thought I would see Blake get engaged even in my life until Clarke," Murphy says. "It's cause us Blake's are stubborn as hell," Octavia says. "He is indeed very stubborn," I say laughing. "Daddy loves mommy," Madi starts singing while giggling. "He does very much just as much as I love you," Bellamy says as starts to tickle Madi. This has just become the best Christmas ever.
