Chapter 27

Clarke's POV

Time skip a month

I wake up to the bed shaking like someone is jumping on it. "Momma, Bellmy's birthday!" I immediately know it's Madi who is jumping on the bed and yelling. "Madi settle down," I mumble trying to wake myself up. "Up, up," Madi says plopping down on the bed. I finally sit up and see Madi getting off the bed and running out of the room giggling. "She truly is excited about birthday's isn't she?" Bellamy says in his deep morning voice clearly just as tired as I am.

"Always has," I say smiling. He sits up next to me giving me a quick peck on the lips before heading into the bathroom. I head out to the kitchen to get breakfast made since we have a busy day. Today is Bellamy's 25th birthday and he's meeting my mom for the first time. We are also having a party for him after Madi gets home from school.

My mom had called me a few days ago wanting to meet Bellamy. She has tonight off so she asked if we could stop by so they could meet. I wasn't sure at first since it's his birthday but Bellamy was okay with it after I had talked to him. We are planning to go while Madi's at school before we head to pick her up.

While I was making breakfast I felt strong arms wrap around my waist. "Good morning beautiful," Bellamy says. "Happy birthday handsome," I say pecking his lips. "Bellmy, I need help," Madi yells. "I'll be there in one second," He yells back. "I love you," He says. "I love you even more." "Not possible," He says kissing my cheek before going to help Madi.

Once we finished breakfast, I helped Madi get ready while Bellamy got changed and let Stella outside. "Mommy?" Madi asks. "What pumpkin?" I say grabbing her hairbrush off the counter. "Is Bellmy staying for good?" She asks looking up at me. "Sweetie Belle loves you so much, he's not going to leave us," I tell her. "He's not going to leave like meany?"

"No pumpkin, he's staying because he loves us both very much," I say, lifting her onto the bathroom counter. "I don't want Bellmy to leave ever," she responds. After I got Madi's hair brushed she ran to find Bellamy. "Bellmy, happy birthday," Madi says running over to him. "Thank you, sweetie," He says.

After we dropped Madi off we headed to my mom's so Bellamy can meet her. "Nervous?" I ask him. "Not really, if she's anything like you I'm sure she'll approve," He says, giving me his signature smirk. I smile as we pull into my mom's driveway. "Mom?" I yell walking inside with Bellamy.

"Kitchen," she yells back. We head into the kitchen to see my mom putting a pie in the oven. "It's so great to see you," my mom says, pulling me into a hug. "Mom, this is my boyfriend Bellamy, Bellamy this is my mom," I say. "It's nice to finally meet you, Mrs.Griffin," Bellamy says shaking her hand. "Please call me Abby and it's nice to finally meet the man who is taking care of my daughter and granddaughter," she says smiling.

"Please come sit. I want to get to know you," My mom says, leading us to the living room. Bellamy and I sit on the couch together while my mom sits in the armchair. "So how long have you two been together?" She asks. "Over a month now but we have known each other for a few months now," Bellamy responds.

"So how did the two of you meet?" "Bellamy is Octavia's brother and she was having a welcome home party for Bellamy being home from deployment," I respond. "What branch are you in?" My mom asks. "I have been in the Army ever since I was 18," He responds.

A few hours later, we left to get Madi from school so we can celebrate Bellamy's Birthday. "Bellmy, Mommy look what I made," Madi says running towards us. "It's a flower," Madi says holding up her picture. "Very nice we will have to put it on the fridge at home," I tell her. "She has been talking non-stop today about having cake tonight," Octavia says walking over to us. "Happy birthday big bro," she says smiling. "Thanks, O," He responds.

We head home to surprise Bellamy with the party I helped plan. I didn't tell Madi because she can sometimes forget that something is a secret. Once we pulled in I helped Madi out of the car she ran towards the door super excited about having cake. "I swear there is never a moment when she isn't full of energy," I say with a laugh. "She is just a ball of energy," Bellamy responds, opening the door. "Surprise!" everyone yells jumping out. "Happy birthday Bell," I say kissing his cheek.

"Did you set this up?" he asks, smiling. "Mostly your me but she did come up with the idea," Octavia responds. "They set this up and then we all helped decorate," Murphy adds. "Thanks, guys," Bellamy says. "Hey Madi how old do you think Bellamy is?" Miller asks. "19," Madi says smiling. "I'm 25 but close enough," He says. "High five," Madi says, holding up her hand. He gives her a high five making her smile even more. I love you," He whispers to me. "I love you too," I respond.

While we were having cake Bellamy's phone started "I'll be right back I have to take this quick," Bellamy says leaving the room. " Mommy where did Bellmy go?" Madi asks. "He will be right back he had to take a phone call," I tell her. As soon as Bellamy comes back in the room I can tell somethings up.

"What's going on?" I ask him calmly. "It was my captain, I am being deployed to Afganistan in a few weeks," He says wrapping an arm around my waist. I feel my heart starting to into a piece's but my body is numb. "I thought you still had a few months?" Raven asks. "Sometimes we were called back early if important stuff happens," Miller says. "Do you know how long you're gone for?" Octavia asks just as shocked. "Could be a few months or up to a year I won't know till I get there," Bellamy responds.

After we had cake and heard about Bellamy leaving in a few weeks we decided to open presents and continue as normal even though we were still all in shock. "Bellmy, open mine," Madi says handing him hers. "I love it thank you, sweetie," Bellamy says pulling out a greek mythology coffee mug. "Welcome," Madi says smiling hugging him. "This next one is from me," I say as he grabs the last present. He opens it and it's a painting of him and Madi I made last week.

"Did you make this? I love it," He says pulling me into his side. "I painted last week when you and Madi went out for an ice cream date so I used your favorite photo of you two together and painted it," I explain. "I love it! Thank you," he says pecking my lips. "Seriously Clarke you are like a true artist," Octavia says smiling. "Thanks O," I respond.

Once everyone left we cleaned up before putting Madi to bed. "So how are we going to tell Madi about this?" I ask him as we head to our room. "I have no idea, I hate leaving you both especially-" I cut him off by pressing my lips to his. "You're going to come back, I know that for sure, don't even try to finish that sentence," I say resting my forehead against his.

"I love you so much I can't even explain it without coming up with a full essay," He says smiling. "I love you, even more than I could even start to explain," I say pressing my lips to his again wrapping my legs around his waist. "Are you sure your-" I cut him off before he finishes the sentence "I haven't felt more ready in my life than I have now," I tell him as he smiles.

He carried me into the bedroom where things went everywhere but I finally felt officially free of my past. That same night was the night I felt more like myself than I ever did since Finn. Bellamy is my person my other half, we are like a heart and head together, needing each other to survive. I knew at that moment I wanted Bellamy to officially become Madi's dad.

Hey guys! I know I haven't updated in almost a month but I have my reasons. This past month I have been dealing with crap in my life and I needed to take a break from writing to focus on myself.  I truly am sorry for the wait and I hope to have the next chapter out before next week. I am also not writing on my laptop right now because earlier this week when I had started writing this my laptop quit working completely so I am having to use my family computer right now until I get a new one. 

Okay, enough of the sad stuff even though this chapter is a little bit sad. Clarke Officaly wants Bellmy to be Madi dad, like oh my gosh this chapter gave me cuteness overload am I right? Abby meeting Bellamy?  How do you think Madi will react when she learns Bellamy is leaving? anyway, I hope you guys have an amazing week and I will see you guys in the next chapter! -Samantha
