Clarke's POV

I wake up around 9:45 in the morning and decide to just get dressed for the day. I walk out to the kitchen where I see a note on the fridge. "Clarke, I took Madi to the store to get groceries. We will be back in a bit. Love. Mom." I decided to go ahead and eat breakfast so I can do so laundry later. Right as I was about to sit down and eat I hear the doorbell ring.

I go to open only to see Finn standing there with his hands in his pockets. My eyes widen "Why are you here Finn?" I ask him. "I miss you babe and I miss my daughter," he says with a smirk. "I'm not your babe Finn were done now leave before I call the cops." "I want to see Madi and I want you to come home with me," Hs says trying to grab my hand.

"Don't fucking touch me and I am not going anywhere Finn I don't love you," I say smacking his hand away. "I want to see my daughter," He says. "She's not your daughter and she's not even here," I say firmly. "She's my daughter and I have a right to see her," Hs says. "No, you don't you lost that right when you told her that you don't care about her," I spit back. "Now leave before I call the cops," I yell. "I will get Madi back and you know it," He says leaving.

I sit down on the couch on the verge of a breakdown. His words still ring through my head 'I will get Madi back and you know it' I quickly grab my phone and call my mom hoping she'll pick up. "Clarke?" I hear my mom's voice on the other line. "Mom Finn showed up," I say. "Are you okay?" "I'm fine it's just he said he misses me and when I told him I don't love him he askes for Madi. When I said She's not his he kept asking to see her until I said if he didn't leave I would call the cops. He then said he'll get Madi back and I know it," I say as tears slide down my face.

"Clarke, you have to stay strong okay?" She tells me. "I know I'm doing this for me and especially Madi," I say. "Your daughter wants to talk to you," she says. I hear her pass the phone to Madi. "Hi momma," I hear Madi say. I smile hearing her voice. "Hi Madi are you having fun with grandma?" "Yes, she got me ice cream." I can hear her smiling through the phone. "Alright, Madi I'll see you when you get home okay?" "Okay Luv you." "I love you more Madi," I say hanging up.

By the time I had my laundry in the wash Madi and my mom arrived home. "Mommy," Madi yells as she comes running through the front door to me. "Hi sweetie," I say kissing the side of her head. She then runs off to her room to play. My mom comes over and pulls me into a hug. "I have a good feeling he will be back," I tell her. "He might but you need to show him how strong you are now without him," she says.

At 4:30 I started getting ready to meet up with Echo and her friends. I leave my hair natural and throw on some ripped jeans with a nice t-shirt. I decided to bring a jacket in case it's cold there. Echo said she would pick me up around 5:20 since I'm on her way there. I walk into Madi's room and see her playing with the dollhouse my mom bought last week. "Mommy, will you play with me?" Madi asks. "Of course I have an hour before Mommy's friend will be here," I tell her.

After about an hour later I hear the doorbell ring. I go and answer the door and see Echo standing there. "Hey, you ready?" She asks. "Yeah just let me get my shoes. You can come in if you'd like," I say. She steps inside while I grab my flats. "Mommy, are you leaving?" I turn and see Madi standing over in the hallway watching me. "I am but I'll be back later okay?" She runs over to hug me and so I bend down and pick her up.

"Clarke she looks so much like you she's adorable," Echo says. I turn and face her and smile. "Madi this is Echo," I tell her. "Hi Madi I'm Echo I work with your mommy," Echo says. Madi hides her head in my neck. "Quit being so shy," I say tickling Madi making her giggle. "Alright go play with grandma I'll be back later I love you," I tell her. "I Luv you too," she says running off as I put her down.

When we arrive we walk inside I follow her over to a table near the back where I see a table of six other people. " Everyone this is Clarke these are some of my friends," Echo says introducing me. I spot Octavia as one of the girls there. "Hey Clarke, Echo said we were meeting someone but I totally didn't expect you but it good to have another girl in this group," She says.

"Wait you two know each other?" Echo asks. "Octavia is Madi's teacher," I explain. "Oh I never even thought about that," She says making the 3 of us laugh. "Okay introduce yourself guys," Octavia says as Echo and I sit down.

"Monty Green dating Harper over here," He says. "Hi I'm Harper Mclntrye and yes it is amazing to have another girl in this group," the girl Harper says. "Jasper Jordan the youngest out of all of us," He says. "John Murphy but everyone calls me Murphy." "It so great to meet people I mean I don't even know the last time I went out like this," I tell them.

"I have a question," Monty asks. "Who is Madi?" He asks. "Madi is my 4-year-old daughter whose dad is not really in the picture long story short," I say. "You mean shouldn't be I mean I have never even met him but he's freaking weird," Echo says.

After a while, we all exchanged numbers so we can keep in contact. I haven't told them about Finn yet just because it didn't feel like the right time. When I tell them I want it to be when I'm ready. Echo was so nice about keeping it private and we all agreed we should hang out again soon.

When I arrived home it was about 8:30. As soon as the front door closes Madi comes running towards me in her Pj's." I missed you," she says wrapping her arms around my leg. "I missed you too," I say picking her up. "Did you have fun with grandma?" She nods laying her head on my shoulder. My mom walks by telling us goodnight. I tuck Nadi in before heading to bed myself. Tomorrow will be a long day for me.
