Chapter 32

Clarke's POV

Waking up next to Bellamy feels like I'm in a dream, but a dream I never want to wake up from. This is one of the many things I missed when he was gone. I place a kiss on his cheek making him stir. "Good morning, beautiful," He says, making me smile. "Good morning handsome," I say, pressing my lips to his. "What time is it even," he asks. "Ten am which means we don't have much time before Madi comes bursting in here," I say hopping out of bed to grab my Pajamas. "Stop staring at my ass and get dressed," I say laughing. "Fine, I'm up," He says, coming over to grab clothes.

I went out to the kitchen once I was dressed to start breakfast and clean up from last night. I start by loading the dishwasher and put a pan on the stove for pancakes. A moment later I hear tiny footsteps coming towards me. I turn and see Madi holding her stuffed dog and blanket rubbing her eyes. "Good morning pumpkin," I say going over to her. I lift her into my arms as she lays her head on my shoulder. "Morning," she mumbles. "Did you sleep well?" I ask as she nods her head and rubs her eyes again. I smile as Stella comes out of Madi's room and stretches. "Should we go see what daddy's doing?" I ask her. She lifts her head and smiles.

I set her down as she runs to our room. I follow behind her as she opens the door as Bellamy throws a shirt in the hamper. "Daddy," she yells running over to him as he throws clothes in the hamper. He turns around as she jumps onto his leg giggling away. "Hey there peanut," he says, lifting her into his arms. "She just woke up as I was getting ready to make breakfast," I say smiling. She giggles in his arms. "How about we go make some pancakes?" Bellamy asks Madi. Her face lights up as Bellamy puts her down. She runs out of the room to the kitchen with Stella following close behind.

"She has a love of pancakes, that's for sure," I say, wrapping my arms around him. "There's no denying I make amazing pancakes," he says, pressing his lips to mine. "Well master chief you better get those pancakes going before someone gets a little too Impatient," I say smiling. "Master Cheif huh? I like it," he says kissing my lips one last too before heading to the kitchen to make pancakes.

Once breakfast was finished I helped Madi get ready while Bell let Stella outside to potty. Today Madi instead of wearing her hair in a ponytail with a sparkly bow. While I was doing Madi's hair Bell came back inside with Stella following behind. "Daddy, look at my pretty hair," Madi says holding up her bow. "It's beautiful sweetie, I love it," he says smiling. "Madi do you want me to put the bow in or you?" I ask her as I pull her ponytail tight. "Me!" she says excitedly. She attempts to put the bow in but ends up not getting it. "I need help," Madi says. "What do you say Madi?" Bell asks her. "Please," she says handing me the bow.

I slide it by her ponytail as she smiles excitedly. "Thank you, mommy," she says jumping onto Bellamy. "You're welcome sweetie, now why don't you go play with daddy and Stella while I go get ready?" I ask her. She nods and smiles, I kiss her cheek making her giggle and head to get ready for the day. I throw on a long sleeve shirt with some leggings and brush my hair out before going to see what Bellamy and Madi were doing.

When I walk into her playroom Madi is playing with her kitchen set while Bell has play food all around him. "Mommy I made daddy food," she says noticing me walk in. "I see that, did you save some for me?" I ask her. "I forgot, now I will make you extra," she says grabbing more of her food. I sit next to Bell on the floor as he wraps an arm around me. These are the moments I know I will miss when she gets older.

An hour before we went to meet up with Octavia and everyone else Madi ended up falling asleep on the couch next to me. Bell was in the kitchen cleaning up Madi's paints that she instead on doing. I lift her into my arms as she rests her head on my shoulder. I walk into the kitchen getting Bellamy's attention. He notices Madi sleeping and turns the water off before walking over. "How long ago did she fall asleep?" He asks quietly kissing her forehead. "About 20 minutes ago, I didn't want to move her till I knew she was asleep," I whisper. I head towards Madi's room and tuck her into bed before heading back out to the kitchen.

"She stays asleep?" Bellamy asks coming over to me. "She didn't even flinch when I put her in bed, she just snuggled up with her blankets," I say. "Good, then she won't be crabby for later," he says wrapping his arms around me. "I know, but then we have to deal with her not wanting to go to bed tonight," I respond. "I would rather have her be awake more tonight than be crabby by seven-thirty," he says pecking my lips.

"Can you believe in less than a month she'll be graduating preschool? Our little girl will be in kindergarten soon," I say changing the subject. "I can't either, I just remember her starting and being the shy little girl and now she's becoming more and more talkative," He says. "Don't forget she getting sassier by the day," I say making him laugh. "Yep that is something I think that we're stuck with now," He says making me smile.

An hour later we headed to Indra's cafe for dinner. Madi woke up right before we planned to wake her up so she was full of energy. She wanted to bring Stella with us but we had to tell her Stella was going to stay home and take a nap. She ended up deciding to bring a coloring book with her crayons.

As soon as Madi got out of the car she was so excited. "Mommy, Daddy, come on," Madi says excitedly. "Okay, we're coming but calm down," I tell her as she grabs my hand. "Can we get nuggets here?" Madi asks, handing Bell her crayons. "I'm sure you can if we ask," I tell her. "Yay," She says as we head inside. "Look who showed up, we were wondering where you were," Octavia says. "Madi took a nap before we came and it took a bit longer to get here than we thought," Bellamy says, putting Madi's crayons and coloring book on the table. We ordered drinks and food soon after.

"Bellamy it's good to have you back man," Murphy says, raising his beer. "It feels good to be back, I've missed being home," he says as we sit at the table. "So are you back for good or are you still planning to be in the marines?" Raven asks. "I plan to be home for good with my family, I'm actually going to be working with Miller as a police officer in town," he says. "That's great Bell," Octavia says finishing her wine. "Mommy looks," Madi says getting my attention. She holds up the picture she colored proudly. "It's beautiful sweetie, I love it," I tell her. "Oh yeah, that reminds me preschool graduation is May 15th so in like three weeks," Octavia says.

"Wow, I can't believe it's almost been a year since you guys moved here," Monty says. "That's right, I still remember how shy Madi was when we first met her and now she is the most talkative kid I've meet," Harper says. "Guess what I turn this many in two weeks," Madi says holding up five fingers. "How many is that Madi?" Jasper asks her. "Five!" she shouts excitedly. "Good job Madi," Bellamy tells her as she smiles excitedly.

"Alright I want to make a toast," Murphy says standing up. "I normally don't this shit because well we all know it I can be an asshole." "Bad word uncle Murphy," Madi says not looking up from her paper. We all laugh as Madi continues coloring away. "You guys are all my best friends and family. This is to almost one year of Madi and Clarke being here with us as a family and of course Bellamy being back again for good," he says holding up his beer. "Cheers," we all say holding up our drinks. Coming here has been the best thing to ever happen to me especially meeting the love of my life when I thought all hope for love was lost. I couldn't have asked for a better family.

I promise I will update as often as I can! Also, this story is getting closer to the end! 😭 This book was one of the first ones I ever created back in 2020 when I first joined!
