I opened the car door for her and she gave me a light smile, getting inside. I hurried to get in as well as i manage to control my heartbeat that is unimaginably raising right now. I need to remind myself to focus on my driving, damn this heart.

I was automatically bothered to put  her seatbelt on just like the way i used to do.

Of course, she stopped me. "I-i can manage." she whispered, puling the belt to her. I made an awkward nod and started to drive.

The drive was exactly what i expected, silent and awkward. The moment we arrived at Kyle's house, Adah hurriedly opened the front door. "Hey how are you..." she greeted as she hugs Mavery. She gave me a concern look and i slightly nodded.

---

"Wait what?"Mavery almost shouted as she starts to do the formula for the little one named, Isabella. Adah continued to discuss how she would be out of the country for their family vacation. "You can actually tell Tristan to just come over, surely he's going to give you a full hand! i am so sorry. We can't really miss this vacation this time." she sighed but my sight were stuck  on the i was missing for so long.

"It's fine, you need to go. I get it okay? but bothering Tris? I am not so sure about that." she answered, finally feeding the infant.

So? that guy Tristan does really help huh...

I stood up. "Uhm, i can give you a hand if you-" as expected, she stopped me. "No! It's fine, i am fine, we're fine. You have lots of things to do too." she said and i sat back down. "Well uhm, i am actually on a vaca. Long story but i have a full hand to offer-if it's okay with you. Just wanna help that's all." i explained.

Shit, was that rude? Why am i so rude!? Does that sounded rude? My God Austin!

I was stopped from mentally arguing with myself when she stood up, slightly swaying to put the baby on sleep.

"I-I'll think of it. It's not that i don't think it's a good idea but i have personal matters to consider too." right after she said that, she exited the room and god knows where she stayed for almost an hour. Leaving me and Adah there awkwardly looking at each other. "Uhm," Adah whispered and i looked at her immediately. "Do-you want anything? coffee? uhm, beer?" she added. I bit my lips "No, i'm fine thanks." i slightly smiled.

Couple of minutes passed and Mavery came back, hands loaded with bags. "Can you stay a bit longer Adah? We need to get these things back to the hospital. Bella is asleep so," she stopped putting her hand on her waist. "It's okay, you guys should go. I'll take care of everything go go go." she answered.

I took the bags and wait for her in the car. I sighed. I cannot believe that i am with her again. Not that i'm glad because something bad happened but it's just that this did not cross my mind even the tiniest.

[On our way]

"So tell me, how's Post Malone?, i mean you-okay. Not Austin." she said breaking the silence and causing my heart to went out of my chest. "Uhm," -my first word. Shit. "Good. fine-just good. How about you? heard you're doing great." i added then she gave me a light smile. "Yeah, i think i am doing great. I-uhh, have you been to-uhm..." she started to stutter.

But i know what she's talking about.

"Yeah of course, i mostly spend my night talking about life with him." i said referring to our late little angel. "That's why," i looked at her. "I only go there at morning. I wasn't really sure if we should met there, like unintentionally." she added looking straightly on the busy highway.

I gulped. I don't know what to say next.

"I understand, we both know what we needed that time. I just wish i-" and that's when she stopped me. "Stop." i looked at her. " We can't talk about us. That's not gonna happen." she straightly said. And that felt like knives carving pain in my heart. I could not almost breathe.

The next couple minutes of drive to the hospital became blur and the next thing i know is when we were already inside. The time spent inside and everything we did, did not flashesback on my mind and the last thing i know is that we were driving back to the house.

"Go on, you can go. I'll wait for his call." Mavery said giving Adah a goodbye cheek kiss. I raised my arms and smiled at her for goodbye too.

And then there's us. Just the two of us.

The ringing tone of her phone finally broke the silence in the cold living room. "Tris, hi." she answered standing up from the couch. I bit my lips and switched position on my sit slightly trying to eavesdrop whatever they were talking about. "N-no no no! It's fine. I have someone to do them." she added.

That does sounded a good thing for me, i think so no- i hope so.

"Yeah, uhm-a-friend." she started to whisper and i can't even help to feel like they would talk about me anytime soon. "Yeah, take care bye." then the call was ended. I cleared my throat. "Hey-" i cutted her by standing up. "Yeah i know, i should go." i said then she stopped me.

"N-no! Actually, you can stay if you want to. I would probably sleep with bella. You can use the guest room. I actually need your help around here so, i uhm accepting your help." she said trying not to be awkward. I opened my mouth but i can not even construct a simple sentence to say. "I- uhh... Okay? You sure this is okay?"  i asked.

She knitted her eyebrows.

"Yeah i'm sure. Have a goodnight and thank you for today." she said slightly smiling. I did not even get to gave her a smile back. I was stucked there, frozen. I got back on my mind when she finally passed my place.

I brethed out and slowly collapsed on the couch closing my eyes.

"Urrrghhhh Austin, this isn't a dream right?"
