Twenty-six

"Mavs!" i came back finally respiring. I looked up at Kyle who seemed to be shaking me throughout the moment i zoned out.

"Are you okay? What happened?" he concernedly asked. I held my head and did my best to stand up. He let go of my arms. "I just uh-remembered something..." i whispered biting my lip. His face suddenly lit up. "That's a great news!" he said and i smiled too.

"I know... It's just weird you know, i had seen some of our moments before but this was something new." i explained sorting the memories inside my brain. "Call him!" he said excitedly leading me to the couch. "You think i should?" i asked and he rolled his eyes.

"Of course! Go on." he said walking back to the island. I was able to tap Austin's name on the screen when my phone started to vibrate. I smiled as i accept his facetime call.

"Hello beautiful, how's your morning?" he greeted me as he fix his bun. "Great i was going to call you too," i said covering my body with a blanket. "Why? Is there something wrong? You know you can tell me right?" he said concern was obvious in his tone.

"Awhile ago, i-uhh hit my head on the countertop and-" i shut my eyes immediately as he cut me off. "Fucking what? You did what?!" he whispered shout. I rolled my eyes. "You're overreacting Austin." i said staring at him. "Are you okay?" he added. I completely collapsed on the couch. "Obviously i am." i said and he sighed. "You got something or what?" he asked trying to look at my head.

"I got nothing okay. Nothing but the Olive Garden thing before." i said as i look away. "W-what?" he said as he paused. I looked back at my screen, to him. "You remembered something???" he asked as his mouth opened. I smiled, "Are you excited to know?" i asked sitting up.

He stared at me for awhile. "Babe?" i asked him and he shook his head. "Y-yeah yeah i am." he answered as he blinks. He seemed to be uncomfortable about it but i brushed it off.

I always think so much ahead of me.

"Remember when you asked me out? And you waited six nights? Gosh, i never knew you're Post Malone!" i shouted smiling. He stayed at pause for a moment, more like trying to conceptualize what to say.

"B-babe???" i asked as i suddenly felt nervous. "Are you okay Austin?" i added as i switched my position on the couch. "Did something happen there?" i said as i stroke my hair.

"N-no no no. I uhh, i'm fine." he finally talked. "I was just-uhh-trying  to uhm-" he stutter as he bite his lips. "Surely you're tired baby..." i whispered as i leaned back.

"Let's talk about this some other time okay? I want you to do nothing but to rest. It's almost like lunch but you already looked tired." i said getting so much concerned about his state. "Damn..." he mouthed as he covers his face with his hands. "I just wish you're here you know..." he said looking back at the cam. "I miss you a lot, you know that?" he added sighing.

"I miss you too okay? Call me later, yeah?" i said smiling. "Cool, i love you." he said closing his eyes as if he's going to sleep.

Adah came before dinner, and Kyle already went home.

"Kyle texted me and he just left huh?" she greeted me. "Yeah perfect timing cause you're already here." i said giving her a bottle of water.

"Thanks, i'm so tired." she said collapsing on the couch. "I'm sorry..." i apologized. "It's not like i don't earn money for this you-" she stopped herself looking to the flowers Austin just gave me this morning.

"Seriously Mavery, haven't you notice something about the flowers he's giving you?" she said closely looking to each of the flowers.

"He just started giving me yesterday just so you know." i said slightly rolling my eyes at her. "I know, dude listen. He gave you different type of sunflower yesterday!" she shouted and i immediately took my phone to check the flower from the day before.

"Y-you're right." i mouthed as i zoomed in the picture. "Was this moonwalker?" i confusingly asked and she laughed. "You really think i know? You were the one who's been obsessed with sunflowers before!" she shouted pulling me back to sit beside her on the couch. He took my phone and lit up the screen.

"Geez! Mavery!" she shouted the moment she saw Austin's wacky face on my lock screen. "What?" i laughed. "Never-fucking-mind," she spat giving my phone back. "I'm using mine." she added as she started to type away. "You're rude! But anyway, what are you gonna do?" i asked as i look at her screen. "We're going to know what type of sunflowers were those two." she said pointing at the vases. "Sure!!!" i excitedly shouted moving closer to her side.

"He gave you Little tiger yesterday." she said smiling. I bit my lips. "And how about today?" i asked grinning. "Those are the Earth walker." she added smiling at me again. I giggled as i took my phone to search for myself. I badly need to memorize them!

After having a satisfying dinner, we both decided to swim on the pool.

"Is the water warm enough?" she asked and i was stopped. "Hey? Are you alright?" she added as she stroke my hair. "Y-yeah i'm okay." i said.

I just remembered Austin asking me the same question on our pictorial...

"Sorry you can't have the wine." she whispered giving me a glass of orange juice. "Oh stop it Adah. I'm okay!" i said laughing.

"So tell me," she interrupted herself for looking at the night sky. "How are you and Austin?" she completed her sentence. An immediate smile curved at my lips. "Great. We're doing great. And it's all because of him. I never imagined that i'd have the most incredible guy in the world. Like you know, i couldn't ask for anything else. He's so uncontainable." i seriously said without the smile leaving my lips.

She stared at me for a moment before letting out a deep sigh. "I need to tell you something." she said chugging her glass of wine empty. I looked at her as my heart started to beat fast.

"Uhm, w-what is it?" i said then she closed her eyes for a moment as if she's getting herself together to say what she should.

Here we go again... My heart was beating out of my chest. The very same way i felt when Austin told me that he has something to say.

"It's about Austin."

My heart immediately felt pained the moment Austin's name slipped from her mouth.

"Tell me."
