As time passed as progressed with it the workshops. Gulf's popularity seemed to be on a steady rise, from the behind the scenes clips of the workshops and some other temporary works he had picked up. It came to a point where he had to mute his social media and even wear a hat and glasses when he came outside. Technically, that second one wasn't really that important as not that many people seemed to recognize the actor, but with the experience of the other universe, he decided to rather be safe than sorry.
It did, however, result in some funny moment of recognition by his friends, colleagues and even that barista on the other side of the road. Pop had done a double take when he recognized Gulf's voice behind the disguise, so much that the nong couldn't stop the laugh that escaped him. The barista had made sure to quickly prepare his usual take-out order and started to interrogate him with whatever question he could seemingly come up with.
Eventually, when his manager came to pick him up, Gulf had taken a picture with Pop, talked probably way too much about Mew's 'sexiness' and had gotten a lot of support and encouragement of the barista. On top of that, Pop hadn't allowed him to leave until Gulf admitted that he'd been his first fan. Ignoring the voice in his head and his mother's reminder that she's his biggest fan since he was a child, he'd just nodded and went along with it. The first fan outside the family then.
He felt elated sitting in the car, sipping the hot chocolate on the way to his last day of workshops.
Somehow, today was the last day already. 2 and a half months had really flown. Soon enough they'd start recording and then Gulf could officially call himself an actor. He'd even gotten some smaller offers for modelling gigs he looked forward to.
Those two months in the other universe really had made him a different man. He couldn't say he minded though.
"Shall I pick you up after the workshop?" His manager's voice broke Gulf out of his thoughts. He looked in the back-seat mirror to see his manager waiting for his answer.
"I'll ask khun phi," he answered before picking up his phone, swiftly navigating to Line.
Somehow, Mew and he had started going home together more and more lately. Mew had shared his worries that Gulf had been overworking himself and since always invited him to drive together. By home, of course, the nong meant that Mew would drop him off at his apartment before driving to his own home. It wasn't like they had a home together. Not yet.
He sent a text to the phi and went back to looking outside, seeing the traffic of Bangkok pass by. They were almost on location when his phone buzzed.
"No need, I'll get home on my own!" Gulf announced happily after he read the text. His manager only hummed in reply, a knowing look on his face. Gulf pretended not to see it.
The workshop ended up bleeding into the late evening hours, so much that the staff decided to send off their assistants to get take-away for the whole group. That's how, after finishing their rehearsal for the last scene of the day – one including a heavy make-out session which resulted in the nong feeling hot all over – both Mew and Gulf had ended up cuddling on a blanket on the ground while waiting for their food to arrive. The cuddling was obviously completely platonic and only meant to practice their chemistry, but Gulf was smug to note that when Mild attempted to join the cuddle pile, Mew had sent him a hard glare.
Everything – including his 'friendship' with Mew was progressing pretty good lately. Next week they'd start the actual recording and Gulf positively couldn't wait. Never in his whole life had he expected to love acting this much, but here he was.
(Maybe the fact that Mew had his arms around his and was idly playing with his hair while flipping through the updated script had something to do with that. Not that he'd admit to that. Not yet.)
