It was like the two of them were engaged in a passionate dance; a fleeting touch here, a swift glance there. Impatience was crackling between them like static, along with many other bubbling desires, throughout the whole ride. If Mew was the pied piper, Gulf was the mouse who could not resist its call. Deciding to ignore any form of rationality, he followed the melodious smile of his Phi towards his apartment.
Now in a familiar place and in a very familiar fashion, almost like a mirror to the last time, Mew embraced Gulf as he pushed him against the wall next to the entrance. Their mouths kissing, tongues dancing, moans singing, bundled in a lustful song.
Everything felt so familiar, so right, so perfect, that Gulf wanted nothing more than to drown in it all. Drown himself into the feeling of his Phi touching him like he was his. Like they were each others'. Like they were something they were not.
But the nong had no expectations anymore. He did not see this for something this was not. And it hurt, incredibly, but he had long accustomed to forgetting about the hurt and basking in the pleasure instead. It worked. At least, for a while.
One step. Another step. Their lips parted for a split second when Gulf felt something dig in his back. The couch. "Bed," Mew said, looking up to meet Gulf's eyes. A complete mirror to the last time; barely any time spent just kissing, playing around one another. Instead, straight to the matter and subject of desire. It was a confirmation among many.
After all, wasn't this where they were headed all along? Wasn't this exactly where this game of gay chicken was supposed to lead them? And Gulf, the desperate little nong that he was, had gone along with it the whole time, hadn't he? They both knew what they could get out of each other, so they grabbed every chance with both hands. There was nothing for Gulf to second guess.
If only he could get his own feelings out of the way. Mew was cruel, oh so cruel, to allow them to be engaged in this passion, knowing fully well Gulf liked him. Then again, Gulf was also cruel, taking advantage of their shared lust to keep his Phi close to him in a way others didn't – couldn't – have.
Couldn't?
Didn't?
A groan escaped Mew and he pulled Gulf closer, stumbling towards that bedroom door.
Whoever that had initiated this all, whoever was the cruellest, neither did matter in the end. It was no surprise they had ended up in this arrangement, after all, hadn't Copter said it? Mew looked like the kind of person to sleep with their co-actor. Gulf had denied it, going off the information of the phi he thought he knew so well, but that other Mew had cheated on his Gulf hadn't he? And this Mew, who was so different yet not, had he perhaps made advances on Copter after all? On... others? The same way he had approached Gulf?
It should not matter, not really, but however much Gulf tried to lie to himself that it was only shared passion and nothing more, he still loved the phi who was kissing and biting his lips raw right then.
What Copter, who had known this universes' Mew longer than Gulf had, said should matter nothing. Yet it bubbled up to the surface as Gulf was pushed down against the mattress. "I'm glad you've found a good replacement." For what? "He does seem like the type to sleep with his co-actor." Was Gulf merely a new convenience?
He forced the thoughts to calm down, to stop. He put all his attention to the phi leaning on top of him. On the way he bit Gulf's earlobe before trailing soft kisses down his neck, his throat, to his collarbones; further down in a trail of fire.
But the further Mew's lips trailed away from his lips, the more Gulf's own thoughts seemed to stray from the pleasant burn. Instead falling further into the darkness of his memories and his own doubts.
