Mew Supassit was scrolling through his Twitter when he came across the announcement. He couldn't help it, seeing the picture of him and Gulf in the official poster of TharnType season 2, a slight smile appeared on his face. The poster was simple; Mew and Gulf lying next to each other, surrounded by red flowers, holding hands, rings on their finger, yet their gazes in different directions. As if, even when separated in mind, they still hold tight on each other's love. It was a beautiful poster.
"The next song has been requested by one of our listeners. She requested Nana by Mew Suppasit!" The radio broke him out of his attention, his name suddenly coming up in between the endless drain of words. The presenter sounded enthusiastic as he read the fan's request.
"I'm a huge fan of Mew's and my favourite song of the moment is Nana!" he read in a high voice, no doubt imitating the fan. "I can't wait to see him play Tharn again in the second season of TharnType, he's a talented actor and I absolutely loved the first season."
The radio presenter laughed. "So did we," he adds his own five cent. (Doubtful, with the limited popularity of the series on mainstream tv in Thailand, but Mew nevertheless appreciates the gesture.) "Well then, let's get on with it then, here's Nana-"
As the first notes of his song started playing through the small boxes of the car, Mew looked back down at the poster.
Truth to be told, Mew had absolutely no desire to act in TharnType's second season. Not because he disliked playing Tharn or because he didn't like the story, – however twisted the books were, Mew could somehow find himself in the ever-giving and passionate love that Tharn had for Type – but rather it was because he had grown tired of the people who only saw him as that one semi-famous BL actor. Mew prided himself knowing that he had more aspects of himself, more talents to be discovered, but being a BL actor in this industry, meant those eyes always looked at him the same way and those people always categorized him in the same boxes, no matter how hard he tried to break those shackles holding him in place.
He had grown tired of those people.
However, he also had a responsibility to his ever-loving fans; to the people who saw him for everything he was and loved that every part of him. So when he got the call from one of Mame's assistants, he agreed to act in the second season.
"You stay beside me on the day that I don't have anyone,
You stay beside me on the the day that heaven is not on my side,
Even though the weather is cold, I still have you as my warm air."It was only much later Mew was informed that Copter hadn't.
Mew wasn't surprised. His old co-actor was busy with his own projects, had grown famous enough to be able to deny a job like this. It didn't hurt, it wasn't awkward between them, but he did worry. Worry about who would be able to fill the fans expectations and play the Type to his Tharn. Even though Copter's reservation against Type had prevented him from accepting the character wholeheartedly. Regardless, fans were used to him.
Gulf had been a breath of fresh air in the endless marathon that were the auditions. He didn't know why, yet the moment he saw the nong -- nervous doe eyes, chestnut shaped lips and the whole package -- he decided that he liked him. The first scene they acted together went well, proving the nong to be worthy of being an actor, but the second scene had blown the phi away.
The fact alone that Gulf had requested that scene, ignoring any of the formalities of a normal audition, proved the nong to be both an utter rookie and an actor of skill and confidence. Mew knew, at that moment, that the one in front of was Type talking to his Tharn. Consoling him, cajoling him, confessing his love to Tharn, his boyfriend. So, Mew took the backseat and let Tharn take on the wheels.
