Luke's POV-
I arrive at school, parking my car and walking to the main office. I am greeted by some staff, given a times table and a locker number, before I set off into the halls of high school.
I expected to see Sam, but she wasn't in the halls. I walk down another corridor, trying to find guidance for more information, when I found the door labelled:"Mrs.Chay, Guidance"

The door was open, so I stepped in the door way. I peered in, finding a cozy little room with a couch, coffee table, and a desk to the left. There sitting on the couch with her Mac book is Sam.
Why is Sam in here so casually? Is something going on?

"May I help you?" The guidance councillor says, clearing her throat and standing up from her desk.

"Oh, yeah. Hi, my name's Luke Hemmings I'm new" I say, trying not to stare at Sam and focus. I can feel her glare burning on me, as she studies me. I try to ignore it, and look forward at Mrs. Chay.

"Oh yeah, Luke. Hello I'm mrs.Chay, and this is one of our students Sam."
She says smiling, referring over to Sam on the sofa. Sam smiles a little before looking down at the laptop.

"I know.. Um, we're neighbours" I say awkwardly.

"Really? Well that's cool" Mrs.Chay says, making things more weird.

"Well, come back at lunch and I'll go over your further information. Have a good first period" she says with a huge smile, before I wave and walk out the door.. Leaving Sam behind me.

Sam's POV-
He's probably wondering why I'm in here like this, all cozy with my Mac and all my homework on the table I front of me;

I come to Mrs.Chay all the time, all day and everyday. I don't work well with people, and I'm bipolar as fuck. I wish I was normal, but I'm not. Kids laugh at me and bully me all day long, so they put me in here.

I came to be really close with Mrs.Chay, and she's a really sweet person.

Plus, she's a guidance worker so I talk to her all the time. Although, I haven't yet brought up Luke Hemmings.

"So, neighbours eh?" She says, looking up from her iPad.

"Yeah, our moms grew close last week, and then we met on Friday evening." I say, as briefly as can be.

"You like him Samantha, I can see it by the way you looked at him. He likes you too" she says, continuing to type on her tablet in front of her.

"I thought I did, but I can't trust him. He's a good kid, and I knew he was gonna be popular. Once Marie sees him he'll be eating her face at lunch instead of the nasty cafeteria foo" I say, trying not to think about my feeling for Luke.

"He was gonna leave anyway, so I left first."

"Well, I think he's diffrent. And besides, you'll have to get over it because he has to come here for full lunch break today and tomorrow. So tough love baby" she says, smiling at me.
I chuckle a bit, "I know, it's fine." I lied.

Luke's POV-
After the awkward lunch and my alright first day, I shuffled out the school doors heading for my car. I see Sam unlocking her bike and I race over to her.

"Sam listen to me, we need to talk" I say, putting my hand on her shoulder. She jolts away and looks up at me with her eyes filled with sadness.

"Go be popular, have a great high school experience, get the prettiest girlfriend, and fall in love with her. I'm not good for you, or even myself. I'm not right. I'm diseased and fucked up" she says, looking me straight in the eye trying to fight her tears.
I saw them coming though, I could tell she was hurting.

I wanted her, so, so bad.

"Sam, I don't wanna be that guy. I wanna be the guy that holds you every night, that kisses your soft lips all the time, and stays by your side for a long fucking time. I need you Sam. I don't know what it is! Let me in Sam" I plead, feeling helpless and out of options. She looks at me, as her tears pour down her face.

"Maybe one day I will" she says, before pedalling down the street on her bike.
Fuck. I need to get home, I have to try.
I drive home slowly, enjoying the view of the town, before racing to my room and throwing my bag on my bed. I open up my window to see Sam's already open.

Her music playing loudly. The sound of "no type" is coming through her window, with the sounds of her rapping along to every word.
I smile widely, before hopping over to her balcony.

"Knock knock, someone's here to see the little white girl who can rap" I say with a grin, as she walked over to the window ledge.

"Come in" she says, turning back to her music and turning it off.

"Oh, so I can come in now?" I say with a smirk, she rolls her eyes and plops down on her bed.

"Wow, you're on your sassy side eh?" I say, sitting down beside her.

Suddenly out of no where she wraps her arms around me and engulfs me in a hug. I pull her closely and lay with her for a minute, before she pulls away.

"This means nothing Luke, we're just friends." She says, looking at me with one eye brow raised. I laugh for a second, before cupping her cheeks in my soft palms.

"Can I just kiss you already?" I ask smiling.

"I don't know, can you?" She smirks back before our lips collide. This time, it was more of a soft kiss. It lasted for a minute or so before she pulls away.

"Okay, you can" she smiles, talking out of breath.
I laugh at her for a bit, before just smiling at hr perfect face.
