Louis' mouth fell open from amazement.
Lily Stevens? He's talking to Lily Stevens?
No. Frickin. Way.

'W-Wait, for real? Like, you are the Lily Stevens?' He stammered.

Lily was amused. Sometimes, people would react like this when they meet her, but not always.
She didn't really care about the fame, or anything. And so she wasn't often active on social media, like Instagram.

'Yes, for real? You think I'd be lying?'
She raised her eyebrow.

'No, no, I mean, just... Wow.'

She couldn't help but let out a small chuckle, the boy sounded like a little child.
But her face went immediatly back to a poker face when he looked at her, his face questioning.

'You... You laughed?'

She scrunched her face in confusion.
'Yes, and? I'm human, you know. I'm able to laugh. Why does that surprise you?'

He shrugged. 'I don't know, you don't look like someone who laughs a lot.'

She scoffed. 'You don't even know me, how would you know that?'

'Then let me get to know you.'

'Can I ask you a question?'

'Yeah...?'

'Do you know the meaning of the word "no"?' She asked sarcastically.

He rolled his eyes. 'Yes. But please, let me be your friend.'

'Why?' She questioned, not really expecting an answer.

'Why not?'

She sighed. 'Because, if you haven't noticed, I hate you.'

'And you're not going to explain why?' He asked, now being less scared, since she had loosened up a bit.
This sort of situation was kind of new for him. He was used to girls asking him to give them attention, not the other way around.

'I've already explained!' She snapped, causing him to lean back a bit.

'O-okay.' It stayed quiet again, he didn't dare to say anything anymore.

She laughed, to his astonishment.
'God, you sound like a scared puppy.'

'Well, don't be surprised. You look like you could murder someone and get away with it easily.' He mumbled, looking at his shoes.

Usually, when he was around his friends or something, he was always confident, not caring about what others said.
Girls always gave him attention, sometimes even too much.

But with Lily, it was totally different.
She didn't even spare him a glance, and if she did look at him, it was a disgusted look.
It was clear she despised him, but he did just the opposite.

She let out a small chuckle.
'Yeah, I've heard that before.'
They walked up the stairs, past a group of girls, around his age.

'Hey.' One of the girls said, in a more flirtatious way, and two others waved, as if they knew him.
Not that he found any of them attractive or something.

'Disgusting.' He heard a voice say.
When he looked up, he saw it was Lily, who had her back turned to him.

'What?' He asked.

'Nothing.'
They had walked past the group already, so they weren't able to hear the two talking.

'What, you don't like it when other girls talk to me?' He said, with a slight smirk on his face.

'Honestly, I really don't get why people like you so much.'

'What? You probably have a tons of guys drooling over you, that's the same.'
