As soon as they said their bye's on text, Lily ran to her closet pick an outfit.
She took out a pair of mom jeans with a white top and an oversized black sweater.

She put her honey brown hair into a bun, here and there hanging strands out of it

She put her honey brown hair into a bun, here and there hanging strands out of it.
She packed her small backpack with her emergency stuff and yelled:
'Mom, I'm going out! I'll text you when I come home!'

'Okay! Be safe!' Her mom answered her.

She ran downstairs, put on her nikes and grabbed her phone.
After Millie had texted her adress, Lily had soon left her house, on her way to Millie's.

Lucky for her, there was a bus that departed exactly when she arrived at the bus stop, so she didn't have to wait.
The bus ride was quiet, and Lily was very excited to see Millie.
The bus arrived at the next stop, where she stepped out and walked a while before she finally got to Millie's house.

Before she could even ring the bell, the door already swung open, a familiar girl standing in the opening.

'Millie!'

'Lily!'

The girls immediatly hugged each other, both being very excited.

'So, come on in!' Millie said, and Lily followed her inside.

'You know what's weird? I've known your brother longer than I know you, but this is the first time I'm in your house. I've never been here with him.' She said while looking around.
Their house was pretty big, and very modern looking.

'Okay, so I was thinking, maybe we can watch a movie?' Millie suggested as she sat down on the couch, Lily sitting next to her.

'Sure. Well, not if it's a horror movie.'

'Why not? Those are the most fun to watch!'
Millie said.

'Really? Well, I'm just a big crybaby then, because I have never and will never watch horror movies.'

-

A few hours later, it was time Lily had to head home.
She and Millie had get to know each other in the time, and now they were already close friends.
They had watched "To All The Boys I've Loved Before", and Millie, to Lily's surprise, had a big crush on Noah Centineo.

'He's so cute!' She had exclaimed.

After the movie, the two girls had gone outside to take some pictures.
And now, Lily had to leave.
Just as she was putting on her shoes in the living room, talking to Millie, she heard the door opening and closing, someone walking in.

'I'm home!' The person called out, their voice sounding familiar to Lily.

Millie's eyes widened.
'It's Louis!' She whispered.

Lily's eyes widened as well, slightly panicking; she really didn't want to see him right now.

'Louis? I thought you'd be home later!' Millie said to her brother, who was still in the hallway, not knowing Lily was there.

'Yeah, well Matt had to leave earlier so I-'
Louis walked into the living room, stopping in his sentence as he saw Lily.
'Lily?'

Lily quickly looked down to her shoes, staying quiet.

'Ahum.' Millie coughed.
When Lily looked up to her, she saw she was looking at Louis.

'What are you doing here?' The boy asked.

'She was hanging out with me.' Millie answered quickly for her.

'Oh, well, can I, uhm, just talk to you for a second?' Louis asked nervously.

'I'd rather not.' Lily responded, now finally looked at him.
He had his skateboard in his hands, and his hair was messy, probably because of the wind.

'Maybe I should leave...' Millie said, glancing at Lily.

'No! That's not necessary, I'm leaving anyway,' Lily grabbed her jacket and bag, heading for the door. But she got stopped by Louis' hand grabbing hers.

'Wait!'

She turned around to see Louis staring at her.
'What?' She asked coldly.

In the corners of her eyes, she saw Millie slowly leaving the room.
Before Lily could say anything to her, she was already gone.
Great. Now she had to talk to Louis.

'Listen, I'm sorry about what happened yesterday-'
He got cut off by Lily.

'Don't even bother to apologise Louis,' she shook her head.
'I don't want to hear it. I have to go home.'

'You can't avoid me forever, you know.'
He said.

'Oh really? Watch me.'

'I don't get it, why are you so mad? It's not like I cheated on you or something.'

She narrowed her eyes and tilted her head slightly. He shouldn't have said that.
Now he was just really pissing her off.
'Then why do you apologise?'

It took him a second to think of an answer.
'Because you clearly hate me, and I just want it to be okay between us again.'

'Hmm. Well, as you've probably noticed, it isn't so simple.'

'Why not?'

'Because you're dating Madison, Louis.' She told him, as if it was clear as day.

'I'm not dating her. As I've told you, it was an accident.'

Lily chuckled, but with no emotion.
'Sure. How am I supposed to believe you?'

'You know, you should really stop pretending like we're a couple.' Louis said, and as soon as the words had left his mouth, he regretted saying it.
He really messed up. Again.
'I-I didn't mean that, I-'

Lily glared at him.
'Then you should stop pretending like we're friends.' She said coldly, her voice emotionless.

'No, wait, I'm sorry!' Louis exclaimed as she swiftly turned around, her back now facing him.
But it was too late, and he knew it.

'You're sorry? Great for you, Louis. No one cares.' That was the last thing Lily said to him before she walked out of the house, leaving him alone while he stared at her back.
