After Mason practically begged Ariadne to force Lily to go to the party, she finally agreed to go, even though she really didn't want to.

Lily was, weird enough, not a person who liked to go in public often.
She was way too socially awkward, and prefered to be alone.
Not lonely, but just alone. It was nicer, there was no one who could judge you, and you can just be yourself when you're alone.

That was one of the reasons why she hated parties.
Another one was because she had heard many stories about all sorts of drama that happened at these kind of parties.
People get (illegally) drunk, they do stupid things, fights break out, that kind of stuff.
