Chapter XXI (Casino Night Meet-Up)

The two race down the streets of to the bridge to West Island: The home to Casino Night Zone. It was one of the most famous part of Mobius, being the biggest casino strip on the planet. It got its name because it is only open at night, so it is lit up with brilliant light and hourly firework shows at night.

As Sonic and Shadow ran aside the traffic on the bridge, they could see the light of the strip on the far west side of the island. "Shads, is that it over there?" Sonic asked, stopping at the top of the bridge as he watch the fireworks go off in the distance, meaning that the casinos probably just opened.

"Yes my love." Shadow said as he put an arm around Sonic, who blushed at Shadows words and actions. They watched for a few more minutes until they were back on their way. Sonic couldn't forget the look of the lights flashing onto the water.

"I was here before... before I met my siblings. " Sonic said as they neared the strip.

After Robotnik had took over Mobius, he set up camp in remote islands to try experiments. His first place was South Island, where Sonic was living at the time with his "Adopted" parents.

He remembered seeing someone rally up the woodland creatures and took them away, which made Sonic suspicious. One day, he decided to follow one of the capsules, and he was happy he did. He found a bunch of robots all around, mostly surrounding a building (Scrap Brain Zone).

When he had broke one of the robots, a small woodland animal came out, meaning that he was using the animals to power the robots. He than made it his priority to help the animals. Soon, he took down Robotnik's plants there, as well as West Island, where he was at Casino Night.

*Play Music*

"Welcome to Casino Night Zone." Sonic reads as they walk into the entrance of the outdoor strip. As they walk in, they start to notice people take a glance over at the two. Sonic was not too well-known around there, but some people knew his face and gave a soft smile towards him. "Are you excited?" Shadow asked with a smirk on his face.

"Yeah, this is nice. I-OH PINBALL!" Sonic yells as he raced over to the area with many Pinball machines, one with him as the mascot. Before he could reach it, he ran into someone, knocking himself to the ground.

When he saw a hand, he grabbed it and was pulled back to his feet. "Thank you...Manic?!" he looked surprised when he saw his brother. "And Scourge. Didn't expect to see you two here." he gave his brother a hug, as well as a handshake to Scourge.

"Nice to see you Blue, it's been a while." Scourge said as he put a hand around Manic's waist. "It sure has. Hey, why don't we go sit down and catch up?" He says as he looks at Shadow, who nods. "Sure, why not." Scourge says as they all start to walk over to a small table over by the pinball machines.

Soon enough, they were all talking to each other (with Sonic playing Sonic Spinball). "So, what have you been up to lately?" Scourge asked Sonic and Shadow. "We decided that the casino would be a nice place for a first date. And so far, it is." Sonic said as he gave his boyfriend a kiss on the cheek.

"Y..Yeah..." Shadow said while blushing. The four talked for hours and had an overall good time. Now it is around 11:30.

BOOM

Large Track come down from one of the buildings. After a few seconds, 6 large balls slide down the tracks, sprouting legs as they hit the ground. They had round/egg-shaped bodies with long toothpick legs (Snapcube SA2 reference lol).

"We are under attack."
