POV: Sonic
7:00 am
I jolted awake to an alarm that I didn't even know I had set. Was Shadow still awake? I thought to myself as I got out of bed and shook my quills into their proper position. I like how my quills are, they don't need much maintenance, except if they're wet. I look over to see my door open, so I assume Shadow was already up so I go into the hallway, my feet on the cool floor, still feeling the sensations in my back from last night's activities.
"I made you a breakfast, I had to go somewhere. Have fun with Tails." I read on a note on the table. I guess he had to go to work early. I thought to myself until I remembered about saying I'd hang out with Tails. As soon as I got done thinking about that, I see Tails walk into the room, all ready to go. "What's up little buddy? Doesn't it seem a lil too early for this?" I asked him, causing his Tails to slow down.
maybe a little, But I know there's this new place open this early," he says with a smile.
Had
"Oh? What's it called?" I asked
"According to what I've found, It's called Eggman Allies, It's just down the road from here actually." He says excitedly, which I begin to grab my things and finish eating.
"Alright, lets do it."
45 Minutes Later
The place looks really modern to be a bowling ally; I'm still trying to find out why he wanted to go bowling in the first place. Even though, I'll still do it for my lil buddy. "Ya ready?" I ask him, watching his tails spin with excitement. I'm guessing because it looks so futuristic as to why he's so excited, as he quickly nods.
When we walked in, something immediately felt off. "Hey, Tails, is it me of does something just feel weird about this place?" I ask while looking around. The place looked very clean and tidy, almost too much. It kind of reminds me of the buildings that Robotnik used to have built for his factories, but the color scheme was off. Instead of the usual hazy shade of blue, It was more a mix between a steel white, as well as red accents running along the walls; not to mention the robots that were in replace of all the workers.
"Now that you mention it, I feel like I've seen these kind of robots before; Although they were only prototype drawings when I saw them." he responded, stopping his Tails and looking around.
"Whatever it is, It can wait." I say to him, "Anyways, we came here to have fun, didn't I?" I try my best to curve the conversation. He's been through a lot of things, as well as me, so I hope tonight we can at least try to have a good, fun night. He smiles as we walk over to an empty lane.
"This place seems kind of high-tech for a bowling ally, don't you think?" He says, now smiling as I set up the names for the game. I put in both of out names and wait until the balls dispense.
"Yeah, but nonetheless it's cool. Anyways, you ready to lose?" I tease as I grab the ball and make my first roll.
"Something tells me you're not going to." He responds as we watch my ball move out into the gutter, which immediately makes Tails laugh at me.
...Timeskip...
"Hey bud, Ima go get some drinks, ya want one?" I ask as I watch him still victory dancing.
"No I'm good. Though could you see if they have any mints?"
"Yeah I can see," I say as I speed over to the concession stand.
As I get my drink I notice something on the side of the cup. I look over at the logo to see it better. Where have I seen this before? I think to myself as I study the emblem. A sudden realization hits me as remember..
Last night when leaving the attack, I seen the same logo. That time though, it was imprinted I bold onto the back of the robots. When I realized this, I immediately ran back over to Tails, who was setting up the next game. "We need to get everyone out of here." I say, which makes him a little panicked.
"Whats wrong Sonic?" He says worryingly. "Did something happen?"
"No, but something will soo—"
