Chapter XV (How We Got Here)

POV: Sonic

After we scramble into my now cramped house, I hear Manic let out a loud sigh. "What's wrong bro?" I ask the green hedgehog, who slowly sat down on the couch. "I didn't think this would happen; getting told to leave and whatnot." He says as I sit down next to him while Shadow and Tails go into the other room to let us talk.

"look, I could understand why she would be mad at me because according to her, I'm the 'heir to the throne,' and I'm 'supposed to marry a princess.' But I don't know why she would be mad at you." I told him as he nodded.

"It's weird, from what I heard, she was she was nice to everyone, but here we are; cast away." I nodded in agreement because I have heard that about mom too.

...(POV: Author)...

Although they were right about their mother's accusations, there was a reason for her actions. You see, there was a story never told to anyone, even the royal guards.

For the few years after the first year after the Triplets were born, Aleena was happy; with her husband, Jules (Just roll with it). Jules wasn't a prince; he was actually someone she had met once when she was out, so Aleena took up the main role of the ruling. Treating everybody as good and fairly as she could,

After a while, Jules slowly fell out of love with her, and decided to leave her in the night, leaving a note on her nightstand. That morning, she was devastated, but she knew she had to keep a strong face, for her family and the rest of Mobotropolis.

Everyone knew what had happened, but there's still more to the story that she had never told.

As explained before, she was nice to everyone, so sometimes, she would dress as common folk, and walk amongst the people. This helped her know the people whom she was ruling over, and what they needed. After about a month or two after her husband abruptly left her, she finally had gone out again.

She was having a great time, but she was getting tired, so she went to the park to sit down. As she did, she looked from where she was in a small area with trees, where most of them had a couple underneath them. She smiled at the happy mobians but is soon faded when she looked at a certain couple.

She studied the couple until she could confirm her suspicions. It was her old husband. But the thing that really made her mad was that he was making out with another guy. He was a dark hedgehog, with blue stripes running along his back quills.

Aleena had never really liked gays, but she wasn't rude to them, but this changed when she had lost her lover to one. When she saw the sight that was before her, she just ran back to the castle.

Present

'Why couldn't have this been a nice day, but now I know that my two boys are dating guys.

What am I gonna do?'

This is the first chapter of the new year, and I'm going to be writing on this once more. Sorry about this chapter, I need to get back into the book, but I'll try to make the next one better. Anyway, please vote.
