Chapter V (I'll Be There Soon)

POV: Sonic

I had just finished cleaning up the table from dinner. Tails was in the other room probably watching TV or something. I dry off my hands and go into the room and sit beside Tails.

"So, whatcha wanna do now?" He asked me, his eyes glowing. I pat him on the head. "Well, what do you wanna do? It's only 4 so I guess we could go out..." I looked outside. It's was still very nice and warm, with a few clouds in the distance.

"Come on, let's go for a walk." I say as I open the door, and he follows. We start to walk down the block when my phone started ringing. Oh, Sonia? I wonder what she wants... I answer the phone.

"Sonic, get here now! It's mom!" I hear her scream which makes my heart drop. " I'll be there soon." I say is I hung up the call. I look at Tails seriously.

"Sonic, what happened?" The fox asked. He looked concerned. "My mother. She's been I the hospital for almost a month in a coma and something happened. Hold on." I let out my hand, which he grabs and I dash as fast as I can to the hospital.

POV: Author

When they get to the hospital, Tails is in a shock at how fast they went. This was the first time that he had ever seen Sonic's speed. He quickly shook it off, knowing that there was something more important happening.

As they walk up to the room, Sonic stops him. "Tails, don't tell anyone about what you're going to see, ok?" He nod his head, not really knowing what he had just gotten himself into.

Sonic opens the door and saw his brother and sister around his mothers bedside, watching her. "H-Hey guys." The azure one got their attention. They both turned around. "Oh, Tails, this is Sonia and Manic, my siblings. And the person in the bed is-"

POV: Sonic

"Queen Aleena?" I nod. "So if she's you guys mother, that means..." he stops and looks at me funny, like he's amazed.

"We are Prince Sonic, Prince Manic, and Princess Sonia." He looked at me with his eyes all lit up like a light. He was dumbfounded and amazed at the same time.

"Yo Sonic, who's the fox?" Manic asked me. Both of them were wondering why I brought a random person with me.

"This is my roommate and lil bro Tails. He's been staying with me for about a month now. We were on a walk when you guys called." I tried to explain it the best that I could, knowing that I didn't want to go that in-depth.

"So you have a lil bro now, huh? You trying to replace us." Manic said sarcastically. I scoffed and told him that I meet him while running in the park and that he was alone.

"...Anyways, why did you call me here?"
