Chapter Forty Three

The rest of the night was amazing and we eventually headed home to show Miguel's mother the miracle. As you can imagine, she was even more thrilled than us.

The next morning. I decided to spend the day with Moon. I didn't want to do any training, I just wanted to relax. Moon decided to take me to the mall. My dad was going to spend the day with Miguel to help him get back up on his feet. They were also gonna try and build up his Facebook page to impress some girl named Ali. Apparently she and my dad go way back.

As Moon and I walked into a incense store we talked about last nights events.

"Soooo, are you gonna tell me anymore about your kiss?" She teased.

"What's there to say? I kissed him and he kissed me back"

"So what? Are you two dating now?"

"What- no! At least not at the moment"

"Blair, look. I love you dearly, but I'm worried for you"

"What do you mean?"

"Permission to speak freely?"

"Granted"

"It seems like your going back and forth between Hawk and Miguel. First it was Hawk and then it was Miguel and then it was back to Hawk and now it's back to Miguel."

"I know"

"Just be careful who you chose" she said.

I went home to find Miguel practicing on an obstacle course that my dad had built. He was struggling to stay on his crutches. Thankfully he found his balance.

"Look at you" I smiled.

"Hey, Blair"

"Hey! Stay focused Diaz!" My dad said as he threw a ball to Miguel. He caught it, but dropped his crutches. He was still standing though. Oh my god! He was standing on his own! All of our excitement grew.

"What are you waiting for? Keep going!" My dad encouraged.

Miguel did as he said and finished the obstacle course with no problem.

"Yes!" He and my dad exclaimed as they shared a hug. When they pulled away, I wrapped my arms around him. I was so happy to see that he was ok.

We all headed inside to grab some Slim Jim's to celebrate. When I came out of my room, I found my dad staring at his computer while Miguel paced around the room.

"Alright, what about 'Johnny Lawrence Karate'? Or 'Strike Hard Karate'?" When Miguel realized my dad wasn't answering he sat down next to him at the kitchen table. "Come on, Sensei, I'm trying to think of names for our new dojo."

"A new dojo?" I questioned as I sat down on Miguel's lap, wrapping my arm around him.

"Yeah, why?"

"No, I'm just surprised. That's all"

"How long does it take for Facebook messages to get delivered?" My dad asked as he continued to ignore us. "Ali lives in Colorado, so probably a while, right?"

"Really, dad?"

"It's instantaneous"

My dad sighed and shut his computer.

"So what? You two dating now?"

We both looked at each other and smiled. With one look we were able to agree.

"Yup" Miguel smiled.

"I always liked you better anyways"

"Dad!"

"I'm just saying"

Miguel laughed before saying, "Ok, what about 'All American Karate'?"

"It's not good enough. We need something that tells everyone we're the most badass dojo in the Valley."

"Yeah. It sucks that Cobra Kai's such a badass name"

"You're not helping" I said.

"What if we just keep the name? But we spell our Cobra with a K? They can call us triple K."

I rolled my eyes.

"Like KKK?"

"Yeah it's probably a bad idea" my dad said as he sunk back into his chair. "All right, whatever. We'll figure it out. First we need some students"

"Tomorrow's my first day back at school. I could do some recruiting"

"I'll help, but where are we gonna train?"

I knew that Miyagi-Do wouldn't be happening for a while because of the conversation Sam had with her mom the other day. I thought I would at least give this dojo a try.

"You let me worry about that"

I then received a ton of texts from Sam. I forgot that I silenced my phone last night so I could sleep in peace. I quickly made my way to my room and FaceTimed her to see what the problem was. Thankfully she picked up after four rings.

"Hey whats up-" I quickly took notice to the fact that she was crying. "Holly shit- what happened"

"They attacked us"

"What? Who did"

"Cobra Kai" she choked. "They were harassing Chris at work, so I said we should fight back and we did. We fought them in the laser tag room, but I didn't think it through. They still beat us."

"Are you hurt?"

"A little. Tory was looking for you and since you weren't there, she took her anger out on me. She said that it's your fault that she and Miguel aren't together anymore. I just wanted to show them that we couldn't be bullied"

"Oh my god. I'm so sorry Sam"

"They broke Demitri's arm" she cried.

"Who did?"

"Hawk"
