"No one hurts my family and lives. No one."
__________________________________After the boy explained to the group that they were going to a 'safe place' and that they could only take a few people at a time, Aife was highly suspicious of the entire situation. The group sat at the table in comfortable silence, no doubt thinking about the previous events, when something on the other side of the window caught her eye.
Teresa was walking with doctors, seemingly perfectly fine. Aife didn't like what she was seeing, she was uncomfortable with everything. She knows she should drop the suspicions, but she just couldn't.
The girl nudged Thomas, signaling for him to follow her and quickly stood up and furrowed her eyebrows, "Hey, Teresa!" Thomas called out. Aife felt responsible for all of her friends, no, her family, so she'll be damned if she let anything happen to Teresa. Although, now she was having second thoughts. The girl seemed to be willingly walking with them.
The boy in the hoodie at the end of the table looked up at their actions, clearly intrigued, he removed the grey hood and followed them with his gaze.
"Teresa!" They continued to follow her from the other side of the glass but were stopped when a guard stood up to them, blocking them from walking any further.
"Where are they taking her?" Aife demanded, her eyes narrowed at the taller man, he seemed unbothered, which angered Aife even more. Though, he was tense in her presence.
"We just have to run a few more tests, don't worry, they'll be done with her soon." He informed, his eyebrows drawing together. How many more tests do they need to run? Surely they've gotten what they needed to get. Right?
"Is she okay?" Thomas asked, gesturing to the glass, which had now been empty on the other side of the hall, considering the girl had already left.
The man hesitated before he spoke, "Shes fine," He gave a small head nod, Aife glared at him while she tilted her head up at him.
After their meal, they were told to go to their rooms, which Aife refused to do, considering she wanted to be with her boys, instead of Teresa at the moment. Something was different about the girl, and Aife was itching to find out exactly what it was.
She didn't go down without a fight, so, she grabbed her belongings from her room in which she shared with Teresa and argued with the guards until they allowed her to be with the rest of her friends.
