Anger. That's what was coursing throughout Aifes veins. Pure hatred. She finally was free from the grasp of wicked, she finally proper food, and shower for the first time in three years. She was angry at them for giving her false hope. Her and the gladers quickly army crawled through the vents as they heard Janson banging on their door.

They were struggling, but they didn't care. They kept going, Aife kicked the vents out from its screws and immediately stood up and glanced around the empty hallway.

"Come on, come on, come on," Thomas waved for everyone to finish crawling, "Let's go, let's go." His shirt was slightly damp with sweat.

"You guys go ahead, there's something i've gotta do," Aris dismissed as he stood in front of the group, Aife looked at him with furrowed eyebrows as she observed him. The boy gave her a look, and she decided to trust him.

"What are you talking about?" Thomas panted as he stumbled towards him slightly, they glanced at one another as they watched the interaction.

"Trust me, it's important. You guys wanna get outta here, right? Just go." Aris reasoned as he held his hands up defensively, Aife put a comforting hand on his shoulder as she gave the boy a nod, "Be safe. Go."

"I'll go with him." Winston stammered as he crawled back into the vents with Aris, leaving the gladers with confused expressions, but they kept moving nonetheless.

"Come on, guys," Aife huffed as she clenched her jaw, the girl was beginning to grow anxious with everything, they were taking way too long for her liking.

"You sure we can trust this kid?" Minho asked Aife as he gave her a questioning glanced, the girl only rolled her eyes and nodded, "You don't wanna know where we'd be without him." She replied as they turned the corner, only to yelp in surprise when she was met with a doctor with dark skin and a bun.

The woman shrieked, clearly startled, before she narrowed her eyes at the teenagers who were watching her cautiously, "What are you kids doing out?"

The woman met gazes with Aife and her eyes widened as she slowly took a step back, she then pulled out her clipboard and flipped the pages until she saw a picture of Aife, along with her information on it,  but before she could run, loud alarms began to boom in the hallways.

Aife and Minho looked at each other before they all slowly redirected their gaze to the woman, who sucked in a sharp breath.

"If you want to live, come with me. Otherwise i'll just kill you right here. Slowly and painfully." Aife glared at the woman as she lifted her chin and took a step closer, the woman hastily nodded at the shorter girl, who didn't see the incredulous look her friends gave her.
