"What happened to George?" Karl asked, concerned as he noticed Dream walking with George closely clutched in his arms.

Waves of pink stretched throughout the sky, calling for the sun to rise further up. By now, almost everyone had already awoken, preparing everything for the upcoming day of adventuring.

"Another memory."

"Is he going to be okay?" Sam asked, turning his attention to the duo.

"Hopefully. The effects of this one were worse than the first."

Dream lowered the sleeping boy onto his makeshift bed, not wanting to bother him while the group rounded up the necessary materials.

"Do you think they'll keep getting worse?" Sapnap questioned.

"We won't know for sure until it happens," Dream sighed, running his hands through the fur of his horse, "But it's a possibility."

"They keep getting worse, almost as if for whatever reason there's a consequence for remebering " Karl thought aloud.

The blonde considered the idea. If that were the case, then why?

"So with each memory, the repercussions are stronger," Sam chimed in.

"Do you think it's safe for him, or me, to remember?" Karl asked.

"As much as I don't like it, remembering may be the key to certain answers about why you lost it in the first place," the blonde determined.

Everyone seemed to be in agreement.

"Are we still on schedule?" Philza asked, unsure if they were going to wait for George to wake up.

"Yeah."

"What about George?" Punz questioned.

"He'll be able to sleep, the horse's galloping is steady and soft," the blond reasoned, thinking back to the time when George had been asleep as they rode back, "Pack up everything if you haven't already, we're leaving in five minutes."

Dream looked towards the brunette, noticing how peaceful he looked despite the pain that'd inflicted him only half an hour ago. Gathering his things into his bag, he tried once again to ignore the subtle feeling that settled in his stomach. He was gorgeous. The blonde was slowly coming to realize he'd do just about anything for the other.

"How do you know that your horse's movement won't wake him up?" Sapnap questioned despite already knowing the answer.

"Because it's pretty smooth for a horse," Dream answered, knowing that it was only half correct.

Sapnap seemed to know as well, smirking. He knew Dream was lying. After being his best friend for so long, it wasn't hard to spot even the smallest of changes in his actions.

"Whatever you say. It's not like he fell asleep on the ride."

Dream rolled his eyes, "Stop."

"No."

"Fan behavior."

"Okay 'I'm the main character,'" Sapnap countered.

"You're jealousy is showing," Dream rolled his eyes, teasing as he carried George within his arms. He passed the boy into the other so he could get on his horse. Once he was prepared, Sapnap gradually lifted the sleeping brunette to Dream. He would've put George behind him, but was afraid that he'd fall off considering they were moving much faster today than they had before.

"Are you gonna be good?" Sapnap asked once their side conversation was over, "No one else switched posts with you last night meaning that you haven't gotten any sleep."
