*Derek's P.O.V*
After what Thomas told me, I tried my best to help him. But I couldn't. I had Jaydon on my mind. I was ready to help Thomas, give him support, but not for the moment. I had my boyfriend in mind.
On January first, I went at the airport with Jaydon and his family.
There I was, mom was waiting for me in the car. I was with the Eichleberger's and some other people. There was this girl. She had long, but I mean, LONG brown hair, dropping like a curtain to her waist. She seemed to be Jaydon's friend or something. I didn't knew her, but she knew me.
''So it's you! I finally meet 'cute-french-guy' " she said when she saw me.
''Sorry to be rude. But honey, who are you?'' I asked.
''Jaydon's best friend. My name's Mackenzie-Rose."
"Hi, mine is-"
"You're Derek Taylor. Jaydon talks a lot about you." she smiled.
''I do not!'' Jaydon said, his face getting red.
"Well I'd love to learn more about you, Mackenzie-Rose.'' I said.
''Of course."
Even if I was happy to meet someone, a part of me was leaving. Jaydon was leaving. He was leaving in less then an hour, my boyfriend and I were going to be separated.
Time passed, Jaydon and I were holding hands, kissing, crying and talking to each other. Just, slowly talking and saying sweet words. He did the same with Mackenzie... minus the kissing.
And then came the time.
''Derek.'' Jeremy said. I sighted.
"Hey, if you want to punch me, go ahead." I offered.
"The reason why I asked you not to come to my house... it's because I knew Jaydon's gay, but... I still wanted him to be straight."
"And why?" I asked.
"Because... if one monozygotic brothers is gay, there's 52% chances that both twins... are."
"So?" I asked.
"There's 52% chances that I'm gay."
"And is statistics the only thing that makes you think that?"
"I don't know."
"You know what they say, the biggest homophobic is sometimes the biggest homosexual." I smiled.
I then turned around to see Jaydon and Mackenzie-Rose.
"Bye Mack. I'll miss you so damn much." he said to his best friend.
"I'll miss you too my little German head."
The hugged and cried in each other's arms. Jaydon took his phone and they shared an headphone. They listen to a song. Probably their friendship song. Once they broke apart, the girl kissed his cheek and forehead. Jaydon then walked to me. "So... I guess this is good bye." Jaydon said. I felt tears forming in the corner of my eyes.
"Yeah... Good bye." I said, hugging him thight.
My face buried in the crook of his neck. I looked up to him. He was crying, his eyes were red. He pulled up his headphone and gave me the right part. He clicked on our song. We had 3 minutes 25 seconds to say goodbye. We stayed there, looking at each others silently. We then kissed. Once the chorus came by, he pressed his lips on mine. I melted into the kiss. His hand on my waist and mine around his neck. This was the last time in while that I was going to see him, kiss him, hug him. Our winter love story was over...
I was on my cloud. My little white cloud and it just disappeared. We didn't spend much time together, but it was enough to make me fall in love with this amazing guy.
''Ernie Harwell, don't ask me who he is, I've got no idea, said: 'It's time to say goodbye, but I think goodbyes are sad and I'd much rather say hello. Hello to a new adventure.'" Jaydon mumbled.
''I love you."
"I love you too"
Once the song finished, we looked at each other, our hands together. "I have to go, but I don't want to leave." Jaydon mumbled, looking down at our hands. I nodded as I slid my hands away from his to let him go. Jaydon sighted and turned around. I watched him leave. I caught him looking back at me. It was like when we shared our first kiss. But now, we shared our last kiss.
When I got in the car, my mother looked at me as I was staring at the emptiness.
''Are you ok?'' she asked.
"Do I look ok, mother?" I coldly said. "He's gone, mom. He's gone!"
