"Home sweet home" Archer sang in a weird voice as we pulled up to my house.
"Thanks, I appreciate you giving me a ride..," I said to him and he looked at me with this odd look in his eyes I couldn't quite tell what it was but I was nervous.
"Why are you looking at me like that"
"Oh I-I am sorry it's just that you are so different...from the other girls around here" I look at him confused trying to understand what he meant by "different"
"I hope different in a good way?" I laughed nervously.
"Oh yeah of course a very good way... it's just that I'm not used to someone who speaks,... so light" I laughed at his choice of words "Light" How do I speak light I guess that's the best way he can describe it.
"Thanks, I guess" I smile and cover my mouth so he couldn't see me laughing
"What..are you laughing at me" He laughs and pulls my hand from coving my mouth
"NO, it's just...." I shrug my shoulders "light?"
"Oh my gosh you know what I mean." he playfully pushes me and rolls his eyes.
"Yeah I know I'm just giving you a hard time" I nudge him and gather my things as he puts his hand on my hand stopping me in my tracks.
"I'm sorry again about Bex, she gets like that every time a new pretty girl comes around the group especially when Jace is there. " he shakes his head.
"What she needs to realize is that she is a beautiful girl but that attitude makes her very ugly," I said before I knew it but I wasn't worried about it at all I meant it.
"I agree with you" Archer took my hand and placed it in his playing with my fingers. I knew he wanted something more to happen them just a car ride home.
"Well I have to get going" he placed his hand on my cheek and I flinched at the ice-cold chill.
"I can't," I gently moved his hand from my cheek we kept eye contact with each other for what felt like hours until his radio suddenly started blaring music, and we both jumped.
"I should go" I let go of his hand and he smiled jumped out of the car and walked to the passenger side to open my door.
"If you ever need a ride anywhere don't hesitate to text me," he says while leaning against his car door.
I nod my head and walk to my front door. As I was looking for my keys I realized I left them at Jace's house, what else could go wrong? I then remember the key under the flower pot that my mom put there for emergency reasons.
As I get in my house and lock the front door I can't help but exhale obnoxiously loud and walk upstairs to my room so I can shower.
