Three days,... it's been three days since the snowstorm and it still hasn't let up yet. No one has been able to go to work or school and the groceries in our house are running low. Journey has been here with us waiting out the snowstorm so he can go home but it's not looking good his mom has called every day to check in on him to see how everything is going, I feel so bad that he isn't able to go home and be with his family but it feels nice having him here. There hasn't been a man in our house for this long in a long time.

"UGH we have to go to the store I can't keep going on like this," Stacey slammed the refrigerator door closed. She wasn't really good when it came to things like this she's more of a "right then and there" type of person, so her patients were running thin with this storm.

"I know Stace it's hard but if you want to drive in that weather be my guest, however, I do not recommend it, my love," my mom said while reading a magazine.

"I will go with you," Journey popped his head up from the couch smiling from ear to ear. Of course, he would offer to go with her anytime he could get alone with Stace he would take. I couldn't do anything but laugh at how invested Journey was in Stace. It was cute.

"Okay, there we have it let's go carrot top," Stacey grabbed her jacket from the laundry room.

"Carrot top,...I like it" Journey whispers to me and smiles.

"Aspen you coming," she asked and without hesitation, I grabbed my jacket and snow boots and made my way to the garage. We all piled into Stacey's White jeep and right before we could pull out of the garage it stopped.

"What the hell," She tried again and then again and then again and the car still didn't start.

"What's going on?"I looked at Journey and he shrugged his shoulders.

"Well my fucking car won't start so I guess we are going to starve" Stacey hopped out of the car and stormed back into the house.

"Is she always like this" Journey answered looking at the garage door.

"Only when she's hungry, but she will get better" I laughed and hopped out of the car. "It's coming down out there isn't it." The front of our yard was covered in a thick blanket of snow it was beautiful yet scary at the same time.

"I mean I can call Jace he was a G-Wagon" Journey smiled and took out his phone. While Journey was on the phone explaining our situation to Jace I couldn't help but think about the last conversation we had in the parking lot of the school.

"So good news he said yes he will take us, and he can see what's up with your sister's car also it looks like some of the roads are open again." Journey was a lifesaver all I could do was nod and smile. "Should I go and check on her or just leave her alone?" Journey asked me considering he didn't know if Stacey was going to blow upon him.

"Go check on her I'm sure she would appreciate your concern," Journey quickly made his way into the house.
