Dinner went by fast and everyone was having a good time. Stacey was sharing her experience with school and how she is super excited about her graduation that is coming up. I am so proud of her she has been working hard to get to where she is today and she deserves all of the happiness that she is experiencing. "So Stacey where are you planning on working in a Public school or private and what ages are you willing to work with," Arlo asked Stacey as he was pouring his very expensive wine into his glass. "Oh umm I'm willing to work anywhere and the age doesn't matter I love all kids." Stacey smiled and looked towards me. I knew what Arlo was going to offer he has connections but knowing Stacey she was going to kindly reject.
"Well, I can make some calls at some of the private schools around our area if you want-" Arlo offered and looked towards my mom for confirmation. Before my mom could respond Stacey kindly rejected his offer. "Umm that is very nice of you, but no thank you, Mr. Villa, whatever is for me I will work towards that goal on my own." Arlo smiled and nodded his head.
"Anyone else has any good news,...Jace, Aspen would you two like to share anything." Victoria looked at me and Jace waiting for an answer. While I was chewing the rest of my food in my mouth I was trying to think of something good to share. Just as I was about to speak Jace interrupted me.
"I do, well it's not a good thing it's more like a rant." Jace looked at me with his emerald green eyes piercing into my soul. I knew what he was going to rant about but there was no stopping him at this point he wanted everyone to know that I was upset at him over something that he did to me.
"Umm, honey if it's not good then I think we should keep it to ourselves." Victoria let out a nervous laugh while giving Jace a stern look. But he did not care his eyes were fixed on me and I was embarrassed by the whole situation. "You sure mom, IT'S A FUCKING GOOD STORY." He yelled to the top of his lungs making everyone at the table flinch "Okay that's enough I think it's time for you to be excused" Arlo quickly got up from the rectangular table and placed his hands on Jace's shoulders but he pulled away and stood up.
Stacey grabbed my hand as I stood up from the table preventing me from leaving, I couldn't believe that he was acting like this and for what because I wasn't talking to him. "You know what, I think Aspen wants to hear it, you want to hear it right." he looked at me smiling. All I could get out of my mouth without crying was a weak "Stop not here".
"OH STOP,...WHY, WHY SHOULDN'T I LET TELL EVERYONE HOW WE,.." "JACE, I've had enough" Victoria stood up from the table slamming down her glass of wine. "May I be excused please" I looked towards my mother who was confused as to what was going on. She nodded and I quickly made my way out of the house.
