The Night We Met

Chapter 14 Jace

 What was it about her, how was she so,...different from the rest. I had to get my head out of this place and the one thing that can fix that is coffee at the Rush. I don't know what it is about her from her perfect smile, curly hair, and golden-brown skin that glistens in the sun during golden hour.  She was perfect, I have never felt this way before for any girl it was like when she was around I could finally be,..human, and not some ass who has no feelings.  How could one girl make one guy feel like they are the only one on the planet when she looks at him? 

*KNOCK* *KNOCK*

"What the fuck" I see Keva smiling in my passenger window. 

"Unlock the fucking door" she pointed at the door while laughing.  I unlocked the car and she hopped in the passenger seat wearing a bright pink crop top, black jeans, and high-top Converses. It was fucking freezing out so I didn't know why she was dressed for summer. 

"Are you cold?" I looked at her as she was putting on her lipgloss. 

"No, why are you sitting in your car in front of a coffee shop you look creepy?" 

"I didn't know that it was creepy for me to be sitting in MY car" I was already annoyed at the fact that she knocked on my window and this was putting the icing on the cake. 

"Yeah well it is,... Anyway, we're all in Rush at our usual table if you want to join,..and you know not be creepy just sitting here." 

"Haha, very funny, who's "we" " I asked while trying to look through the windows of the coffee shop from my car. 

"Just Bex and Archer, why are you being so weird I don't get it."

"Archer's in there you said" I made my way into Rush I had to get some answers from him as to why he took Aspen home the night of my party. Was he trying to get with her or did he genuinely like her? I had to needed to know.  

"Yeah,...I just said that" 

"Wow look who it is, hey Jace what's up," Bexley said sarcastically 

"Hey, man what's up?" Archer smiled at me, I nodded and sat down on the opposite side of the table. 

"So Jace are you drinking your usual?" Keva looked at me and snapped her fingers. 

"Umm no I'm not staying long I just have to ask Archer a question." Archer looked at me and nodded. "So why did you take Aspen home the night of my party?" 

"Are you fucking kidding me, Jace?" Bexley stood up from the table. "Why the fuck do you care" 

I didn't even care about how Bexley was feeling I was just concerned about Archer's response. But he wasn't saying anything at all just scared like the spineless pussy that he is.  "Dude," I saw fear in his eyes. He knew what I would do to him if he even tried to get with her in any way. 

"Just answer the fucking question," 

"Bro you're on a different level why the hell do you care!" he shook his head and stood up from the table. 

"Boys calm down it's not that serious, really it's just Aspen she's not that interesting."  Keva stepped in between us. My fist balled up and I wanted to swing so bad. I was ready to knock that dumb-ass smile right off his face. 

"Jace, remember that you're already on thin ice with the cops," Keva pushed me back as the whole coffee shop watched.  

"Stay away from her" I warned him and walked out of the coffee shop. I was so angry I didn't know how to control it or what to do I wanted to fuck him up. I knew all he wanted to do was fuck up her life and use her just to get in her pants as he does to most girls but I wasn't going to let that happen not again not after what happened to Hayden.
