The Night We Met

Chapter 42: Aspen

I was happy that Jace was still there with his hands around me. But I had to pee and I didn't want to wake him so I slipped from his strong grip and made my way to the bathroom. And just my luck I started my freaking period.  Thank you Mother Nature. Luckily I always keep pads in my purse, but I just had to get them. The whole while I was making my way to the other room I was just hoping that I didn't stain and that I needed to shower.  

"Oh my god Jace what are you doing in here" I try to cover myself up with my hands. He looked at me and laughed. 

"Aspen I kissed and licked every inch of your body last night" I mean he was right but I still was insecure about a lot of my body. I gave him an unsettling look and he turned around so that I would feel more comfortable. 

"Is this better?"  his arms folded in front of him. "Yes,". I could tell by his posture that he had to tell me something...I was just hoping that it was good. 

"So, Ummm my sister is coming to town and my mom is having a welcome home party for her..." he said and then was silent for what felt like a good 5 minutes. I have never met Jace's sister but by the sound of his voice, he wasn't very enthusiastic about it. I got out of the shower and wrapped up in a towel. 

"Oh. ok well, that's good right?" I stood behind him wanting to embrace him but I wasn't too sure if it was the right time.  He quickly turned around and slammed his lips against mine. I could tell he didn't want to talk about it and he wanted to take his mind off of it with sex. "Ummm Jace," I said while he was trying to take off my towel "Humm," he said while kissing my neck. "I'm out of commission at the moment so this can't happen right now" I didn't just want to say that I was on my period because that would be very awkward. 

"So....you started your period is what you are telling me" he looked at me. I stood there awkwardly and nodded my head. He smiled and kissed me on my forehead wrapping his strong arms around me. "You never have to be scared to tell me that you're on your period." I knew I shouldn't be embarrassed by it because it's a natural beautiful thing but I couldn't help but feel a bit embarrassed. 

"I know it's just that I know most guys get..." he stopped me and shook his head "I'm not most guys I'm me and I know that having a period is something that happens whatever guy gets weird about a period is a pussy."  I mean he had a valid point. Being scared of a woman having her period was such a weird thing to be scared about but I mean hey. "Ok well I'm going to let you finish up getting ready we have to get on the road soon." he kissed me on my forehead and left out of the bathroom.
