I watched her as she slept. I admired her lying peacefully in bed wrapped up in the bedsheets and her hair all over her head. I heard her phone ringing and I saw that it was Stacey calling her.

"Stacey, how are you?"

"What,...Jace why do you have Aspie's phone is she ok" Stacey asked concerned. What I wanted to tell her is "Yes Aspen is fine I just put her to sleep." but I didn't want her to hate me too much.

"Oh, yeah we are on a little getaway in Oceanside at my family's vacation house."

"What the hell Jace my mom has been so worried about her because she wasn't answering her phone calls or mine,  the least you all could have done was call and let us know," Stacey shouted over the phone.

"I...well Stacey I wanted to show her a good time after what I did the other night so I thought this would be a great "I'm sorry" type of thing" I was trying to talk as low as I could trying not to wake Aspen.

"or you were using this little getaway as an excuse to keep from coming to your sister's welcome home party this weekend."

"What Stacey how did you know about that ?" I was so confused my mom told me that Hope was Coming back and she was throwing her a party this weekend I just didn't expect her to tell everyone.

"Well, I know because our moms are best friends, and she is my mom's client so" I could hear the annoyance in Stacey's voice.

Stacey signs "Jace you guys have to be back by Saturday evening ok my mom is literally flying back from her business trip early and if Aspen isn't at home to get ready for that party then--"

"Yeah ok, I got it we will leave tomorrow night" I cut Stacey off and hung up the phone.  It was true Stacey was in fact right I didnt want to attend my sisters welcome home party. I wasn't ready to see her of face her. That wasn't the only reason why I brought Aspen here though I wanted to show her a party of me that no one knows. Not even Journey.

"You ok" I hear Aspen say quietly while laying on my chest. I wanted to tell her but I didn't want to mess up the trip. So I just nodded and got up from the bed.

"I'm going to take a shower, Jamison made dinner which should be done," I told her leaning over the bed and kissing her forehead. She held on to my hand with a strong grip and just stared at me. I knew that she had known that something was up with me but didnt know how ask me to just tell her.
