Wallowing in self shame and anxiety
Thinking of the pills I once swallowed to end this misery
Quantifying how undeserving I am
If this is life, heal us.Digging my own grave before I eventually kick the metal bucket
Drinking sorrow with ice cubes under the hot sun
Laying quietly, taking in the pain in the eyes that pass by
If this is life, heal us.Planning my funeral before my day is due
I have written my eulogy for I fear no one would do it right
Sitting on the cold floor, crying solemnly as I swallow the metallic taste of my own blood
If this is life, heal us.Believing that my end will justify my means
Having suffered enough,I hope to live to eat the apples I planted on this tropical land
Praying with my hands clasped together tightly
If this is life,heal us.
