Hold on

Ate the nut with the shell on
I didn't believe until it was late
Your scent and your smile
Fresh like daisies
They had me dancing like an Indian bride
Slept too long to realize
Thought too little to see the picture
Your voice is on replay
A broken record in my heart and mind
You were slipping and I cut you off
I placed your hand in his
I let him take you
Remorse engulfs my lungs
I breathe revenge and my eyes see nothing but red
Albeit there's nothing I can do
So until the sun sets in the east
Hold on!
