                                              Want or need
We failed to tell the difference 
Love or lust
We failed to see the picture 
Victory or an easy pass
They let us go either way
                          Mistook your idleness and aimlessness as wanting to spend time with me
Mistook your sweet words and 'dutiful' chivalry for charm
Mistook your calls and endless texting as love
                          Ha!As though you ever cared about anyone but yourself 
As though you didn't jump around,poking everything with a skirt on

                          You promised the moon and delivered space junk,
The sun but all you did was burn my heart
My poor,fragile heart.
                          My heart which I gave to you without questioning reason
My heart which was once whole,which is now empty and dark
                          Because as you left you took it with you 
My melted cold heart
You let it drip as you walked away at noon
All over the wooden floor and even in the carpet grass

                          My liquefied heart which I entrusted to you.
