How Come You Stayed?

I sighed as I tightened my ponytail as I walked out of my room and downstairs.

"Bye Alex"

"Oh bye Andie" I smiled as Damon's snack walked out of the house as I heard Tyler ran away from home. Damon was talking to Stefan on the phone.

"Damon" I handed a glass out for him.

"I don't want to hear it..."

"Don't say it"

"I know Tasia okay?"

"Then why do you keep saying you are going to kill him! When I need my answers"

"Well your answers you can get from Klaus, not Elijah"

"Well I'm sure Elijah might have some answers don't you think Damon?" I asked him.

"Yes, now I have to go," I groaned as he grabbed his glass as he walked away. I went to my room and called Caroline.

"Hey Alex"

"Hey Care, do you have some time to chat?"

"Of course!"

"Good, I'm in need of some girl time" I smiled "I'll be right over!"

I changed and went over to Caroline's "so what is going on?"

I sighed "Well both Stefan and Damon mostly Damon wants to kill Elijah"

"And you don't want that right?"

"No" I sighed "I need to know what I'm missing from my life"

"Do you think it's possible that Elijah or maybe Klaus compelled Stefan to forget about you?" I sat up as I walked around her bedroom.

"Oh my god, I haven't thought about that... but why?" I asked "why would either of them compel Stefan to forget about me?"

"Maybe you were friends with them or had a relationship with one of them"

I sat back on her bed then laid down "this is crazy isn't it?" I asked her.

"Very" she smiled at me "tell me about you and Stefan! I still find it crazy you two dated"

"We dated for years" I smiled at her as I sat up and faced her "god, I remember when I first saw him, he was so handsome and his eyes, god. I could stare at his eyes forever" I laughed "Stefan was so different back then, so fun!"

"Really?!"

"Yes!" I laughed "he took me out on a boat ride in Paris for our first date" I smiled "then we made it a thing to go back every few years. One time we were all the way at the top of the Eiffel Tower! We compelled ourselves into some crazy balls, went to concerts" I sighed "I was madly in love with him" I smiled as I grabbed my necklace "I just couldn't picture my life without him in it" I said simply.

"Do you still love him?"

I nodded "you don't spend years with someone and not still love them, of course I do. I will always love Stefan but he is with Elena and he's happy"

"And Stefan knows about you, right?"

I nodded "I showed him memories" I smiled.

"Memories?"

I nodded "we can be in someone's head, show them a dream or also show them a memory"

"Really?! Can you show me?"

I smiled as I put my hand out "grab my hand" she placed her hand on top of mine "now close your eyes and open your mind to me, I'm going to show you where I first met Stefan" I smiled as I showed her how Stefan and I first met.
