*A Few Years Later*

"Mom, what is this stuff again that you got from a witch?"

"Those are herbs sweetie, I've been having Eddie help me figure out which herb is good for what. One of these herbs helped me get pregnant with you and your brother"

"And you want to have another baby?"

"Maybe down the line if I meet someone else, yes. I would like to keep my options open" I smiled at my daughter "you should be going back to work now or you're going to be late"

"Thanks for the blood bag mom!"

"Of course sweetie!" I called as Anastasia went to work. I went to my room as I grabbed my journal and went outside to the balcony to write.

I wrote about leaving Mystic falls and staying away. Katherine dying, Elena is now human. I have been single for years focusing on myself and focusing back on my family. What it was like losing my sister even though we had a difficult relationship, she was my younger sister and I did take care of her. Losing her was really tough on me, my family also lost Jimmy which was also rough so now all of Caleb's kids are with him and AnnaBelle. So the deed is now under David's name. David is Jimmy's son who took over our old house. The whole Salvatore family is scattered across the country. I even went to visit Elijah and Niklaus and Rebekah in New Orleans. I was happy to see Nik grow as he had a daughter of his own with Hayley. And Kol came back to life and now is in love with a witch Davina which I couldn't be more happy about. Nik's daughter reminds me so much of him, she was so cute. I also was in New Orleans to say a final goodbye to Nik and Elijah as they sacrificed themselves which was heartbreaking. Nik told me to check on his daughter every now and again.

I grabbed the glass of wine that was on the table. I took a sip of the wine as I looked down at my journal.

"Drinking so early?"

My head shot up as I looked at Stefan. I put my journal and wine glass on the table next to me as I sat up.

"Stefan" I sighed "What are you doing here?" I sat up "Ana didn't mention you were coming"

"I wanted to surprise her and you"

"So um" I crossed my arms "what are you doing here?" I asked him "since you know we haven't spoken or seen each other in well years"

"Right" he nodded "well as you know I got caught up with everything going on in Mystic Falls"

"Hmm right"

"Then things seemed to die down" he sighed "and it took me a lot of time to think, to think about my life, my relationship"

"Stefan, where are you going with this?" I asked him.

"It took me time to think about us Allie"

"A lot of time apparently" I gave him some attitude.

"Yeah a lot of time" he slowly walked over to me.

"A lot of time" I repeated "which I also gave you your space, to you know think"

He grabbed my hand "which I'm thankful for" I glanced down at our hands.

"What are you doing Stefan?" I pulled my hand away from him "Anastasia is at work, you can wait if you want"

"I came here to see you mostly Allie"

"You know, this is going to come out rude but what are you doing here Stefan? Honestly! The only time I've heard from you is when you told me, my sister is dead along with my niece but yet you called Anastasia every day and I told you how I felt and you, you just let me leave and you told me you would come back to me and years passed and I..." I sighed "what are you doing here Stefan?"
