It's Just Us

I woke up as I went to the bathroom and freshen myself up. I put sweats, a tank top and a sweater on as I walked downstairs to get a blood bag. I walked past the cell to see Stefan and Ric having a drink.

"Gentleman drinking already" I smirked.

"You want some?" Ric asked me.

"I'm okay for now, next round, I'm in" I smiled "as you were" I went upstairs to pour the blood into a glass as I sat down and called Anastasia.

"So, road trip huh?"

"Hmm, yeah I needed to stay here"

"Why?" Ric asked Stefan "I mean why you? It doesn't take much to baby sit waiting for a psychotic break"

"Wel unfortunately we all have a limited around of time"

"Before what?"

"Before we have to resort to other methods"

"So you're worried you're going to have to torture it out of me and you don't think Damon could have done that?"

"Look, Elena needed to go on that road trip with Damon. No matter what I go through to get her back, fighting my blood lust, trying to gain control of my life again, none of that matters if she has feelings for somebody else"

"And Alex?"

He sighed "Allie it's complicated"

"How is it complicated? You two we're together for years and had kids"

"I left her more than once, she watched me fall in love with someone. She deserves more"

"Well from what I know, you didn't leave her, you were forced to and I see the way she looks at you, the way she talks about you"

"You guys have talked about me before?"

"Of course, she told me stories about when you met and had kids. She said you were more terrified than her"

Stefan chuckled "yeah I was"

"I'm glad you're okay babe"

"I'm glad you are okay too mom, I'm sorry about Kol and Klaus"

"Thanks sweetie, any boys in your life yet?"

"Nope" she laughed "I think I might spend some time alone"

"I might need to do that myself, well I let you go okay? I love you"

"I love you too" I hung up as I finished my drink as Ric and Stefan were talking about whether or not Elena and Damon found Jeremy and were with him. I looked up as I saw Nik.

"What are you doing here?"

"Well it seems Stefan is missing a stake, so going to stay single for awhile Hmm?"

"Yes" I crossed my arms "until I can find someone I want to be with forever"

He left and searched the house and found the other stake "be right back love" he went downstairs to talk to Stefan.

"Well this is depressing, isn't it?" Klaus spoke "and I found this upstairs now by my count, there should be one more"

"Yeah well it's going to take a little more time"

"Why, because we're waiting for that one to pass out? No, thanks. I think I'll just kill him" I stood up as I made my way downstairs.

"Well, then you won't know the location of the other stake"

"I can live with that"

"Well, I can't," Stefan told him.
