Lukes POV 🧡:

"okay class h-have a wonderful weekend!" Ms J said,i huried out of the classroom to find Hailey, Zander hasnt been at school for the past 3 days and i was starting to worry, "Hey Hailey!". I said walking uo to her, she was at her locker talking to Sean, "Oh hey Luke" she replied, i notice a hint of blush on her cheeks, probably because she was with Sean, "Have you talked to Zander recently?"

The grin on her face was replaced with one of curiousity, "oh um, no actually now that i think about", i was confused, they live together why wouldnt she know? " oh, really?" i said getting a little concerned, her face lits up "OH! He has actually been staying this week with his bialogical dad!" my eyes widened, "W-What??!" "Didn't Zander tell you?, his Dad came back and he has been staying with him every other week." I looked down, "actually, he didn't tell me...." Hailey gave me a worried look, "Oh Luke I'm sure he-" "HEY HAILEY YOU COMING?!" Hailey turned around to see Sean, Jake, and Daisy behind her, the blush returning to her cheeks, "Oh! U-um" she looked at me and before I gave her a silent nod.

Hailey ran over to catch up with everyone while thoughts started flooding my mind, "did I do something Is that why he didn't tell me?" I muttered to myself, I was his boyfriend so I'd think he would tell me something important like that, I muttered to myself in silence until I heard my phone go off, it was a message from Hailey

I beamed at the message, it was an address to Zander's Dad house, which meant I could go visit him, as I walked around their neighborhood I noticed it didn't really look, safe. It looked like a really out of shape and private neighborhood, I shrugged it off and continued making my way to find Zander

I knocked on Zander's door a few times before remembering Hailey telling me to look for a spare key under the mat, "Hello? Zander? It's me Luke-" I stopped halfway though my sentence and noticed broken glass dishes and other sharp objects thrown on the floor scattered around,the house smelled like achol I made my way up the stairs being careful not to step on anything sharp. I walked in and out of rooms to find no Zander, I did see one more door slightly opened

Without hesitation I walked in the door, my eyes widened as I came across the horrible sight, it was Zander on the floor, broken dishes and small piles of blood surrounding him, he was turned on his side facing the wall and hugging his knees, he had bruises and cuts all over him, "OH MY GOD! ZANDER WHAT HAPPENED?!" I whispered shouted, for some strange reason I had a urge to be quiet, I dropped down next to him and cradled him in my arms, "L-Luke?! Y-you can't be here!" He said trying to pull out of my grasp

I dug around my backpack for bandages and thankfully had a bunch, considering how caring my mom is, after bandaging him up I look him in the eyes concerned, "now please tell me what the hell is going on??!" He stayed quiet and quickly turned his head away, I examined the room to see a black belt in the right corner of the room, "Zander, did your dad.?" He nodded once again this time looking me in my eyes,

"y-you have to go Luke! He might see or hear you-" I interrupted him, "Zander you have to be insane to think that I'm gonna leave my hurt boyfriend here with his psycho father" Zander tried to pull out of my grasp once more before giving up, he looked towards the wall, "Zander..why the hell didn't you tell anyone??! Do you know how serious this is?!" He stayed silent, "ZANDER I WAS WORRIED-"

"I SAID IM SORRY OKAY?!" He shot back looking at me revealing tears coming down his cheeks, i felt a wave of guilt and even some regret hit me, I poked at one of his arm that was bandaged, "...does it hurt?" He nodded, I took off my red cardigan and put it on him, he looked up at me before snuggling into my chest, "Thanks Luke I-I-" "ALEXANDER WICKHAM! WHERE THE HELL DID YOU GO??!" I Heard a deep voice shout, Zanders eyes went wide once again as he returned to his shaking and heavy breathing state, i pulled Zander closer as i reached in my pocket to grab my phone " is the door locked?" i asked digging thourgh my pockets, "n-no, he broke the lock.." of course he did, we suddenly heard a bang as the door flew opened, "ZANDER WHY DID THE HELL CALL OVER YOUR STUPID BOYFRIEND!" he screamed smacking the phone out of my hand before i even got a chance to talk to the 911 operator, "g-get the hell away!" I stuttered scooting back, still keeping Zander close to my chest, "Go home kid, this is between me and my son.." "HE IS NOT YOUR SON!" I shot back suddenly regaining my confidence, "YES HE IS-" there was suddenly a loud bang on the door, then we heard the door break open as footsteps ran up the stairs and into the bedroom, an officer came thourgh the already broken down door, holding a gun towards Mr.Wickham.

I placed Zander on one side of my bed before pulling out my phone to call Hailey. After telling her about what just happened we both agreed that Zander could stay with me and my mom for a bit, I placed my phone on a nightstand, my eyes trailed off to my violet eyed boyfriend sleeping, "i should leave, he probably needs some time," I got up before feeling something pull on my hand "n-no..." i heard a voice mumble. I turned around and saw Zander pulling on my hand, "Luke, Stay and cuddle with meeee" he whined giving me puppy dog eyes, i sighed and got in bed next to him pulling the blankets over us, he snuggled into my chest and wrapped his legs around my waist. ( jeez Zander clingy much-) i pulled him closer while using my free hand to play with his hair,he mumbled two words before falling asleep

"My hero.."
