Fiddling with his hands Zander approached his mother slightly nervous to ask her his new question

"Hey uhh, Mom"

She paused as she was setting the table and looked at him

"Yeah?"

Taking a deep breath Zander continued

"S-So I was thinking....you know how only Michaels side of the family knows about me and uhh Luke..?"

She realized what her son was getting at and looked at him

"Honey are you sure?.. My family dosent even know your gay?? This is the first time in years we are seeing them-"

"Yeah but....he wants to come over, a-and I think it's now or never.."

Sighing in defeat she nodded her head agreeing to her sons plan

He jolted upstairs and texted his boyfriend back

Zander: She said yess!!!!

Luke: Really?? Yay!

Zander: :)

Luke: <333

Luke: I'll be at your house at 3?

Zander: Mhm!! <3

Luke: ily <33

Zander: ily more

Luke: that's impossible because I love you the most

"ZANDER STOP TEXTING YOUR BOYFRIEND AND HELP ME!!"

"Hi!"

Luke hopped out of his car giving Zander a small but genuine smile.

"Hi baby...is everyone already here?"

Responding by nodding, Zander grabbed his hand

He gripped the door knob and felt Luke's hand squeeze his

Feeling this he hesitated

"You know.. I-if your not ready it's okay. You don't have to do this just to make me happy yknow.."

He smiled at his boyfriends care and tucked some hair behind his ear, caressing his cheek

"I'll be fine silly!"

Taking one last deep breath Zander swung the door open and peeked his head out of the door

Everybody was in the living room either talking or watching the telly.

But once Zander closed the door completely allowing Luke to be seen everyone went silent. Staring at them

Regrets filled both as they gripped each other's hands

The silence was yet over come by one of Zander's aunties clapping her hands and giggling rushing towards them

"Oh my goodness!! Your that boy Alex always played with hm?~ Oh your so handsome!!"

"Alex" became flustered while Luke awkwardly smiled

"Think you got bad eye sight hun. Lemme take a look."

Another lady from the couch fixed her glasses while examining Luke's face

"Wow...ALEX HAS A BOYFRIEND!! AND HE GOT A GOOD ONE!!"

Everyone cheered clapping their hands. Well...almost everyone

The rest of the night was the aunts and grandmas talking to Luke smothering him with kindness
