Maze runner (love story with newt)

Ben

Newt and I were digging with the track-hoes the next morning when we heard...

"HELP!!!" Shouting coming from the woods which sounded like Thomas's voice. "HELPPPPP! HELP!!" Thomas then came sprinting out of the woods being chased by one of the runners, Ben, Ben jumped on top of Thomas holding his to the ground. Everyone starts running over to them and so does Newt and I, I get there first trying to push Ben off of Thomas then Gally comes from behind me and pushes Ben fully off of Thomas pinning him to the ground Newt grabs his arms and everyone holds him down. Thomas still laying on the floor in shock I help him up. And ask him if he's ok.

"He just attacked me!" Thomas looked at Alby.

"What you doin?" Newt was shouting in Ben's face while he was struggling to get up off the floor.

"Lift up his shirt!" Alby runs over looking at Ben.

"NO! NO!" Ben shouts so loud, he started to scare me.

Newt lifted up Ben's top. He had been stung. The cons were all over his stomach all around where he had been stung, it looked terrible. I turn around, hugging Thomas. I couldn't watch. I've never seen someone stung before.

"NO! NO! PLEASE!" Ben cried out in pain.

"He's been stung" Gally looks at everyone. "In the middle of the day" I know that people have been stung before at night when they are trapped in the maze and die, but never in the middle of the day. The greivers only come out at night. We hear them.

"PUT HIM IN THE PIT" Alby then shouts soon after he sees that Ben has been stung. Newt and a few others struggle to put Ben into the pit.

"NO! PLEASE! HELP! PLEASE!" Hearing Ben cry made everyone feel awful and for the rest of the day no one was talking.

Later on before the maze doors close everyone surrounds Ben. I was crying so much. Thomas and I were just watching with Chuck as we weren't experienced with this yet. I grab Thomas's hand and then Chucks and we watch Ben getting pushed into the glade by everyone using sharp, long sticks so he can't escape the circle. As the doors shut they push him in and he was screaming so much. As soon as he got the the other side of the door there was only a little gap left and as the door closed I watched him standing in the middle crying on the other side. He was stuck in the maze now. And he's never coming back. He will never survive. No one survives a night in the glade.

"He belongs to the maze now" Alby looks around at everyone and we all walk back to do finish our jobs for the night and try to forget about what happened.

As everyone was sat in their hammocks I sat on top of Newt in his hammock and watch Gally and a few others cross out Ben's name on the wall. When everyone falls asleep Newt walks me to my room door and I get into bed. Before he was about to leave I could tell how painful that experience was for him. He's known Ben for a while now and he was a good friend to him.

"Come here" I pat beside me on my bed and he lays next to me and I hug him tightly. "It's ok" I kiss his head and we fall asleep.
