Maze runner (love story with newt)

The gates

"Guys it's Alby! He's awake!" Teresa interrupted us mid argument.

I was still clinging on to Newts arm, heart rushing like before. That was a close call. We almost died.

"Hey baby are you alright?" Newt pulled me in front of him and put his arms on my shoulder.

"Yeh. I'm good." I say that and he pulls me closer to him and kisses my forehead. He then pulls my head into his chest and hugs me and I hug back. Holding onto him tightly. "Let's go see Alby."

We all jog over to the med hut and go inside, Alby is sat up with his head in his hands.

"Has he said anything?" Minho asked Teresa as he walked in.

"No" Teresa replied.

"Hey...Alby are you alright?" Newt says next to Alby who was staring into mid air. Newt looked worried trying to get eye contact with him. Alby eyes starting tearing up and his lips quivered.
Thomas then leaned down in front of Alby, trying to get his attention.

"Alby... we might have just found our way out of the maze." Thomas said and Alby didn't reply so I the. Pulled Thomas back and took his place kneeling down on the floor.

"Did you hear him? We can get out of here!" I said. Alby a lips then quivered even more.

"We can't...we can't leave...they won't let us..." Alby said whispering a bit.

"What are you talking about Alby?" I said putting my hand on his shoulder.

"I remember..." Alby said.

"What do you remember?" I said.

"You." He then turned his head towards me and looked me dead in the eyes. "You were always their favourite Ivy...and you Thomas...always." After Alby finished speaking he looked away from us and Thomas and I exchanged confused looks and so did everyone else in the hut. It was me, Newt, Thomas, Teresa, Gally and Alby in the room.

"Why did you do this? Why did you guys come here?" He referred to Thomas and I. We then heard shouting outside so we all rushed outside leaving Alby on leaning his head on his hands. I grabbed Newts hand and brought him with me so that we can stick together through whatever was happening outside. We all ran outside to the gladers standing at the gate with their torches. I saw Chuck running around and so I stopped him and asked him what was going on.

"What's wrong Chuck?" I let go of Newts hand and put both my hands on chucks shoulders.

"The gate! It's not shutting!" I let go of him and ran towards the gate leaving newt to run behind me. I felt his hand intertwine with mine as we all stood there looking up at the gate. We then heard a loud bang and all grabbed our heads. "Where did that noise come from?" Chuck shouted.

"Over there!" A glader shouted and pointed at the other side of the wall, another gate had opened. That had never happened before. Then one after the other the other two opened leaving 4 gates open and it was night time. Everyone started panicking.

"Alright Chuck...I want you to go to the councillors hall and start barricading the doors." Thomas whispered to Chuck.

"Clint go with him!" Newt shouted.

"Minho! I need you to grab every weapon that you can find!" I said to Minho and he nodded and ran off. Everyone was scared exchanging looks.

"Everyone go into the forest! Go hide. NOW!" Gally shouted at some gladers. Suddenly a load of gladers started running towards us away from one of the gates. They were shouting.

"ALRIGHT NOW EVERYBODY HIDE!" Thomas shouted and then grabbed Teresa's hand and ran to a field. Newt was just standing there staring into the maze. Looking at the greivers coming at us.

"NEWT!" I shouted at him and I was trying to pull him away from the gate put he was frozen still. "NEWT! BLOODY HELL NEWT COME ON!!!" I grabbed his hand and pulled him as hard as I could until I felt him loosen up and start running with me. We all ran into the field where we grow our crops and I pushed Newt on the floor and put myself on top of him.

"What are you doing?!?!" Newt shouted trying to get up.

"Protecting you stupid" I said looking around all over the place to make sure no greivers were coming. He held my waist and moved me off of him.

"I love you but I don't need protecting love" henpecked me quickly on the lips and then we both stayed low on the floor with Thomas, Teresa and a few other gladers. We were all there kneeling down on the floor staying as quiet as we could and I Intertwined my hand with Newt on the floor. "If anything happens I love you Newt! And I love you guys too!" I said looking at Thomas and Teresa.

"We love you too!" Thomas and Teresa said in unison. We then all looked at Newt waiting for him to say some something.

"Right. Stop. You three aren't going to die! I won't let that happen! But if we're in a situation where I can only save one person that'll be Ivy. Full stop." He said.

"I can take care of myself!" I shouted.

"SHHHH!" Teresa said grabbing me from behind hugging me. "We know. We know."
Suddenly we saw a greiver jump into the field and grab a glader pulling out of the field with it and we all started running. We all ran to Alby and helped him to the councillors hall where most of the gladers were because Chuck barricaded the doors. We could hear people screaming outside and we could hear the greivers outside. One jumped onto the roof and fell through the top pulling some gladers out. A gladers hand then came through the hut wall grabbing onto Chuck.

"CHUCK!!!!" We all screamed.
