Maze runner (love story with newt)

"CHUCK!" We all scream. Everyone grabs chucks arms and we all pull Chuck as hard as we can but we begin to realise that we aren't strong enough. Alby saves Chuck by using his Wooden crutch wacking the greivers leg over and over screaming as he does so and it lets go of Chuck.

"Chuck you ok?" Alby says.

"Yeh I'm fine. Thanks Alby." Chuck picks up the stinger that game off the leg when Alby walked it.

Suddenly the leg comes back in and grabs Alby, Thomas jumps up just about grabbing him and no one else could get to him in time to save him and Thomas wasn't strong enough. We all heard him say his last words.

"Get them out!" He said to Thomas. Alby gets pulled out and Thomas looses strength letting go. He then runs outside and we all follow and notice all the greivers are gone. Gally then runs over and punches me in the face making Newt lash out and punch Gally back. Punching him over and over.

"DONT YOU DARE LAY A HAND ON HER EVER AGAIN!" He says punching him loads in the face.

"You heard what Alby said. She was sent here to mess things up and she has. Look around Thomas and Ivy. This is all your fault!" Gally shouted taking the punches still from Newt.

I grab the metal stinger out of chucks hand and hold it I front of my stomach. "Maybe he's right..." I say quietly to myself. Teresa over hearing.

"Ivy..." Teresa said.

"I need to remember Teresa..." I say.

"Ivy no!" Teresa shouts as I stab it into my stomach. All of a sudden everyone swarms around me shouting.

I get visions of back when I worked with wickd, my sister and Thomas. I woke up slowly. I felt someone stroking my hair. My eyes were fuzzy but I could tell who I was sat on. It was Newts voice. I could tell because of his British accent and the way he touches me.

"Hey are you ok?" Newt said realising that I was waking up.

"What the hell where you thinking?!?!" Chuck shouted out.

"Gally's  taken over. He said that we had a choice. We could join him or get banished at sundown." Newt said sat up with me leaning on his chest still. "Ivy... I'm sorry that I couldn't protect you... if only I had walked out the hut still holding your hand then maybe I would've taken the punch.." before he could finish talking I cut in.

"No. Newt don't do that. Don't blame yourself. Anyways... I deserved it." I said.

"Gally's got everyone convinced that your the reason that all of this happened" Teresa said.

"Well he's been right so far." I say

"What are you talking about?" Newt said confused.

"This place isn't what we thought... It all started when we were kids. They'd give us these challenges... they experimented on us then people started disappearing every month. Like clockwork." I explained to them.

"Sending them up into the maze..." newt finished off my sentence.

"Yeh but not all of us..." I said.

"What do u mean?" Teresa asked.

"I worked with them watching you guys for years. I was on the other side of it... And so we're you." I say looking at Thomas. "And you..." I then say turning to look at Teresa.

"No!" Teresa started crying.

"Yeh we all did this to them" I said looking at Thomas and then back at Teresa over and over again.

"Can't be true!" Teresa had tears pouring down her face.

"I saw it" I say.

"Then why would they send us up if we were with them?" Thomas asked, still looking shocked from what I had just told him.

"I don't know but it doesn't matter" I say looking at the floor.

"Your right it doesn't matter...any of it
Because the people we were before the maze, don't even exist anymore. These creators took care of that. What does matter is who we are now... and what we do right now. You went in the maze and you found a way out" Newt said putting his hands around my face.

"And if I hadn't Alby would still be alive" I say with a tear going down my face.

"Maybe" he said wiping the tear off my face. "But I know if he were here he would be telling you the exact same thing... Pick your ars up and finish what you started. Because if we do nothing then that means Alby died for nothing and I can't have that!" Newt said.

I looked at him for a moment. Confused how he could forgive me so easily for what we did. But he was right. He was fully right. "Ok" I said.

Newt then hugged me and kissed me on my forehead. "I love you. Nothing will change how I feel about you. Remember that!"

Gally crosses names off of the wall as we walk over to the gate. I acted as though I was still asleep though so that they didn't need to restrain me.

"This is such a waste" Gally said looking at all of us.

"Gally. This doesn't feel right man" Clint said.

"What if Thomas is right maybe he can lead us home!" A glader said.

"We are home. Ok?" Gally shouted out.

"You think banishing is going to solve anything?" Teresa said.

"No. This isn't a banishing... it's an offering." Gally then tied Teresa up to a wooden stick.

"Gally what are you doing?" Thomas asked.

"You really think I'm going to let Thomas and Ivy back into the maze after what they have done?! Look around you. Look at our glade. This is the only way. And when the greivers get what they came for... everything will go back to normal." Gally said.

"If you stay here you're all going to die, the greivers are going to come back and they're going to keep on coming back until everyone is dead" Thomas told everyone that was standing behind Gally.

"Shut up! Tye them up." Gally shouted at some gladers and they went to pick me up off of the floor but I got up and punch a few gladers making them pass out on the floor and newt cuts the rope tying Teresa up and comes over to me standing in front of my grabbing my hand from behind him.

"Full of surprises aren't ya?" Gally irritatingly said.

"You don't have to come with us. But we are leaving. Anyone that wants to come this is your last chance." Thomas shouted out.

"Don't listen to him he's trying to scare you" Gally turned around and said.

"Were not trying to scare you... I am scared but I'd rather risk my life out there then stay the rest of it in here. We don't belong here, this place isn't our home, we were put here and we can get out, I know that." I said.

Some gladers walk over to us whispering some sorry's to Gally and they joined us.

"Gally it's over. Just come with us!" I said to him standing with a few others.

"Good luck against the grievers." Gally said and walked away back into the centre of the glade.
