Maya's POV

"Which is exactly why, you're the future Tesco employees of the month." He grinned,

"Would I still be making more money that you?" I bitch grinned. My comment made his smile drop before he continued after clearing his throat,

"Science, in lab 2. Be there or I'll have to fill out paperwork." He brushed it off as the bell rang and I got up, heading to Politics.

Lunch time came, and I made my way towards the school gate, intent on going to Jess' with Xander and Brody. As we approached it however, I heard footsteps running up towards me.

Feeling them come closer, I turned around, grabbing ahold of them, and putting them in a choke hold. It was then, that my brain caught up with my instincts, and I realized that It was Mara who had come up behind me. Letting her go, I pursed my lips together,

"Okay, what is with you lot and sneaking up on me?" I exclaimed.

"I didn't sneak up on you. I was trying to catch up with you."

"She was." Xander defended. I sent a playful glare his way, causing him to smirk. I mumbled a sorry to Mara, as we all stared at her expectantly.

"Oh yea... I need help putting up these posters for the end of year dance." She explained.

"Not doing it." Brody and Xander both shouted quickly. As I just looked at them flabbergasted.

I wanted food. I needed food. And coffee, that too. Otherwise I'm running on barely 2 hours of sleep in total. Which is never pleasant. I pointed at Xander accusingly, before declaring,

"You, are gonna pay for this." He simply smiled, holding my finger between his thumb and index finger and shaking it,

"I'm sure I will." He smirked, while Mara grabbed ahold of my arm and began dragging me away. In a final attempt for my freedom... And food, I reached a hand out towards the gate, and shouted at the top of my lungs,

"Fooooood!" As we walked away. Everyone around started to look at us, to which I simply shrugged. As we made our way to the building, I saw Me Jeffreys looking at me, laughing. Although, the second he saw me look back at him, he stopped.

Mara finally let go of my arm, and handed me a pile of poster's, with information about the dance on it, aswell as saying that the theme would be masquerade.

Mara and I walked through the corridors, pinning down a poster every few seconds. We worked mainly in silence, until Mara spoke up,

"So, who are you taking to the dance?"

"My TV, and guess what I'm wearing." I paused for a second for effect, "My Couch." I began laughing hysterically, finding my quote hilarious. Mara, on the other hand, didn't seem to get it and just looked at me rather unimpressed.

"No, seriously. Who are you going with?" She pestered on, putting up another poster.

"I'm not going." I stated, causing her to stare at me as if I had just killed someone Infront of her. I would know, it's an expression I've seen many times.

"You can't not go. You have to go. This is our last year." She persisted. I simply shrugged, not bothered. I didn't see the point in the dance, why did you want to spend time with people who you already see during classes? I had absolutely no intention of going, and that was the way it was going to stay.
