Maya's POV

I looked at the state of the man, my eyes trained on the various wounds that littered his skin. Attempting to figure out what he had already been through. What I saw was disappointing to say the least. The extent of his injures consisted of a few bullet wounds in various places, and a few of his teeth littered on the floor.

The door behind me swung open, 2 people walking in. One holding the car battery and jump leads, the other with his hands behind his back. I instructed the battery man to put the equipment down on the table where I had kept my daggers before beckoning the other one toward me as I stood up and walked toward him.

"Where's the stuff?" my voice was stern, annoyance dripping from my words.

The boy in front of me couldn't be older than 16. He had bright ginger hair, and his eyes skirted around nervously.

"I, well. I got everything else, but..." he trailed off,

"But, what?" I repeated.

"But I couldn't find any, any taps around and, er, the guys out front won't give me any water bottles. The closest I could find was this bottle of Vodka." He tripped over his words as he spoke as a knowing smirk broke my 'Captain Glare'.

'M, he's so cute. He's like a puppy... Also isn't Vodka flammable?' Cora invaded my thoughts,

"What's your name kid?" I made sure I was speaking softer now, the iciness that had been carried with my words since I entered now completely gone.

"Nicolo ma'am."

"Well then Nicky, you and I are going to get along just fine," Nicolo seemed to flinch at the nickname, and was eying me skeptically. "Also, I'm not that old, and I'd like to think that I'm not a strict teacher, so you can call me Maya." I smiled at him, as he began to smile lightly.

I took the vodka from him, examining the bottle to find it was pure Vodka. I took a shot straight from the bottle, savoring the burning feeling left behind, before handing it back to Nicolo,

"Have some." I offered," Wait, you're 18 right? I'm just kidding- I don't care."

I sniggered at myself, while Nicky took a sip, cringing at the taste, before he handed it back while I shot a smirk at Andrei who was appalled by the way we were drinking it.

"Right, anyone who isn't Ivanov- clear out of here. Nicky, come find me later." Everyone slowly filtered out of the room, until Andrei and I were alone with the unconscious man.

I walked towards him, and knelt down once more, before patting his cheek lightly. He stirred, before his eyes shot open, and he began pulling against his restraints. I shushed him, before speaking,

"Oh, look at what those boys did to you. You poor thing, you must be so tired." He nodded rapidly, "Well I know just how to fix that. Just first tell me why you snitched to the police, and I'm gonna need to know what you told them."

The man attempted to speak, but his voice was barely audible. So instead he shook his head. I grabbed the cloth I had asked Nicky for, and wrapped it around his mouth tightly, before opening up the bottle of vodka and pouring it over his face, watching as he began to let out drowned screams that were accompanied by the strong aroma of fear. I stopped emptying the bottle on that man's poor excuse of a face. I took another swig, and offered the bottle to Andrei who finally spoke up against my 'crime',
