Chapter 31

-Shelby pov-
Thankfully everyone is feeling better for the weekend. But now there's this little issue. The moms are making us learn techniques. We've already gone over everything about sickness.

Now we are learning breastfeeding tips. I've never seen Emma look so red. But she is the demonstrators feeder. I think there was a coin toss she lost.

The girls are at the mall while we learn. So we have Emma and Cass as our help. Emma was a volunteer to help. I feel like she's regretting that though.

She was the diaper demonstration earlier. It was absolutely adorable but probably embarrassing. I see Debbie feeding Cass as they talk. I'm not picking anything up though.

I know I need to listen but I can't. I've read up and looked up so much stuff on breastfeeding. I started it with Beth a while ago. There's nothing more I can lean.

"Shelby" I jump and look at Debbie "You ok? You seem out of it"

"Sorry" I sigh "I just have been doing breastfeeding for a while with Beth and I know the tips"

"Alright" She gives me a small smile "Just tell me if you're not ok"

I nod and she goes back to talking. I wonder if the girls are having fun?

-Sugar pov-
Chuck E. Cheese is not where I wanted to spend my day. But Pam, Sam, and I were outvoted. So now here we are. I'm watching over the girls while they play games.

I hate these animatronics so much. I feel like they are watching my every move. These things are absolutely terrifying. I don't know how kids can enjoy this place.

I just hope to god this works though. They seem to want to connect fully with their little side. Santana has been the most successful. She's been all over the place loving it.

We have gotten some weird stares but oh well. We aren't trying to get their approval. We are living the way we want to. We don't need them.

"Sug?" I turn and see tears in Rachel's eyes "I wanna go home"

"Rach?" I wipe her eyes and look for the others "What happened?"

"Nothing" She sniffles and looks away "I just wanna go home"

"There!" I look up to see a worker, older lady, and a kid walking toward us "Thats the woman that was in the play place! She's too old for that thing!"

"Excuse me but she did nothing wrong" I look at the worker "No one got hurt"

"There's is a age limit to the thing" The guy frowns "I'm sorry to say that she can't go back in there"

"That's all?!" The lady pokes the worker in the chest angrily "She is a perv! She has a diaper on under her dress!"

"How do you know that?" The lady goes silent and I growl "How the fuck do you know that?"

"Mam did you touch her?" The lady shakes her head but doesn't verbally respond "Mam did you touch this woman?"

"She was near my son!" She glares at Rachel "This is a little diaper pervert!"

I grab the lady by her collar "Say one more thing about my sister I dare you" Her eyes go wide with fear "Don't ever say another thing about my sister"

"Sugar?" Oh no "Why are you threatening my mom?"

"Kate?" I turn and see Kate looking confused "She was making fun of Rachel for her diapers and being in the play pen"

"Mom!" I let go and Kate steps between us "These are the people I've been telling you about! My girlfriends are apart of the family!"

"What's going on?" I turn and see a angry Sam with the others "Who's this bitch?"

"It's my mom Sam" Kate walks over to her "She didn't know about you all! I mean she knew but I hadn't had any photos to show"

"Well all of you have broken rules and need to leave" The worker points to the counter "Get your last prizes"

We all go over and the girls get there things. I see Kate and Sam silently arguing about something. I know they have finally put a label on it so this is new. I don't want it to end this way.

"She really likes you all" I turn toward the mom "She likes her and grace"

"They just labeled themselves yesterday" I sigh and look back at the duo "I hope this didn't make the end"

"I'm sorry for everything I said" I look and see she's being honest "There's just...it's something new and human nature is to go against the foreign thing"

"Kate has been great to our family" I look back and see the duo waking to us "I really hope they still make things work"

"Mom" Kate looks up to meet her mother's face "This is my girlfriend Samantha!"

"We started off on the wrong foot" The lady holds her hand out "I'm Amanda"

"Samantha" They shake hands "We have another girlfriend who's name is Grace"

"She wears diapers and is apart of the others" Kate smiles "She's such a sweet girl!"

"Well I'd love to meet you two in a better place" The handshake ends "Why don't you come over for dinner sometime? Maybe you could bring the whole family and we can learn how you all operate"

"That sounds great" Sam smiles "I'll go make sure the girls get finished soon"

I nod and stand with the two lady's. After a bit they leave when the little boy comes back. A few minutes later the girls get back to us. They have an array of toys I'm sure will cause trouble.

We get to the van and then head home. I hope the moms had a good day.

-Time skip-Shelby pov-
How did we go from breastfeeding to discipline? Oh yeah Cass bit Judy. Judy didn't do anything but slightly smack her mouth. It wasn't much and the moms lost it.

"That is not how it works" Janine is holding Cassandras wrist "I know you all have spanking in your rules!"

"Yeah" I look at the others a sigh "It's not used as much as it could be"

"That mother is a bitch" We all freeze and turn to see Rachel stood in terror "Uhhhh"

"We have another volunteer for the demonstration" Mom grabs Rach and bends her over her knee "You just saved Casss ass"

Rachel dress is flipped up and the diaper is slipped down some. Soon there is smacks and whines filling the room. Rachel is kicking and squirming. I can't watch this!

"Sit down" I turn toward Maribel confused "We haven't been disciplining them when they need it...we need to let it happen"

I look back as the final smack hits Rachel's bottom. Mom moves her up and whispers to her. Soon Rachel's crying stops and there's only silent tears left. Usually she'd be screaming still.

"Certain times you need to soothe after" I watch my mom rub Rachel's back "Certain scenarios lead to different outcomes"

"Now" Mom look toward the others "What was she angry about?"

"Kates mom caught her in a play place and called her a diaper pervert" I feel rage boil inside of me "But we got it all figured out and we have a dinner invitation"

"I imagine we have to be 'normal' right?" Sugar shakes her head and I'm confused "They want us to be us?"

"She wants to understand" Sam steps forward with grace "It would mean a lot to the two of us if you would try and go to a dinner...we really wanna stay with Kate and don't want her parents to not know who we are while dating"

"It would mean a lot" Grace looks down at the ground "But it's ok if not"

"We'll work on getting something set up" I stand up and look at my mom "I think some kids need cleaned"

The girls scream and run away. After baths the rest of the night is spent watching movies. New York is definitely different from Lima. Lima was small town and small minded but easily ignorable.

New York is big and we seem to be seen every day. No matter what it is we get seen. I really hoped it wouldn't be this way. But I guess we can't get all that we want.

I just hope Kates family isn't as bad as it seems.
