Chapter 64: Duets and final statement

-Cassandra pov-
We are doing duets today in glee. We also have been pulled into a family meeting. I thought we had everything taken care of. Apparently we have not gotten it all.

"So I spoke with the board today" Madison sighs and shares some papers "These are the terms and conditions"

"So we can still have a club if we lose?" Madison nods and I read it more "But we would have to take it to Dalton?"

"Apparently that is the brother school" I look at my wives and see their somber expressions "The board and I have tried fighting this...it is just how it boils down"

"So even if we win this club shuts down after nationals?" It was a rhetorical question as Shelby sits back "After everything we all have been through"

"The girls have us and we have them" Judy sighs her name on the paper "We came to give them a good life! We tried our best and it was not enough...sometimes dreams and plans do not work"

"But what matter is that we tried" Maribel signs her name on her paper "We fought for our lively hood and I can never be more proud than right now"

I watch Emma sign and smile "We are a family" She slides her paper forward "We came here as one and we can leave here as one"

"So it is agreed?" I sign my name and look to Shelby "Shelb?"

"You focus on winning ok?" She signs the paper and gives me a smile "We will focus on everything else"

I nod and Madison collects the papers. I feel like I just signed my death warrant. But I know no matter what happens, I have my family. These girls are with me all the way.

The bell soon rings and the students come in. I turn and smile as they take their seats. I guess I should just rip the bandage off. I walk to the front and take a deep breath.

"If we lose our glee club goes to Dalton" I see all of the faces drop "I know Dalton just got here but..do not forget it is just a if ok? No matter what though! I am so proud of every single one of you! Now Marley obviously got the solo being the only person to tryout and not be disqualified! So now we are at duets"

I step back and wait for duos to come down. I smile with Sam and Kate walk to the front. They nod to the band and soon the music begins. Time to see who will get their light on the stage.
