"Jeno Lee..." the receptionist said as she typed away on the keyboard. Sm's entrance was fairly large. There were shops and cafes, but everything seemed overpriced. "Oh of course..." the hummed for herself. "I'm afraid your father cannot come any further, but I will escort you to your location."
"That's fine, thank you." Jeno's father simply said. Jeno was never really close with his father, however, he was the only immediate family Jeno had left so he couldn't just hate him.
The receptionist took Jeno through the maze of halls that is the sm building. Each wall was plastered with pictures and albums of every group sm made. Anyone could see that the CEO was very proud of his creations.
After what seemed like walking for ages, Jeno had arrived at a large metal door, along with the receptionist. She looked at Jeno and smiled.
"Are you ready?" She said. She was cheerful and at least tried to make him comfortable in the unknown location.
"I guess." Jeno simply replied. This whole idea of being an idol was his mother's dream after all. Disappointing her now, along with his sister, would be disgraceful to them he thought. The woman opened the cold, metal door.
"Sir, I have brought Jeno Lee." She stated for the room. Jeno peered inside and noticed 6 young boys who were playing, and two managers who looked tired out by the young boys already.
"Ah thank you." One of the managers said as the woman bowed and left, leaving Jeno on his own. It was overwhelming. These people he didn't know. He felt out of place. The two managers split - one went to the group of boys who seemed to be playing with whatever could entertain them, and the other walked towards Jeno. The manager squatted down in-front of Jeno, his knees clicking quietly as his eyes met the young boy's.
"Hello," he started. He waved his hand gently. "I, along with him over there," he pointed to the other manager who was talking to the group of boys. "will be your managers." He stated. He was trying his hardest to make Jeno feel comfortable. "If you ever feel uncomfortable, you can always tell one of us, okay? I want you to have fun." The manager said as the patted Jeno on the head. It felt nice to have someone older care for him, even if it was only minimal. It felt like home. It felt like his mother.
The manager got up and headed to the other. He noted that the manager that had just talked to him was taller than the other. He also noticed that the group of playful boys were now looking at him - curiosity in their eyes. Jeno was sure they'd have so many questions.
"Okay boys," the taller manager said as he cleared his throat. All of the big eyes of the children were on him. "We are your managers for the time being. Chances are we will be subbed out the time you debut. You can call me manager Park."
"And me manager Lee." The smaller manager said. The taller manager smiled. The boys nodded.
"Now, you've probably already noticed but today the last person is here." The boys' heads spun around. They stated deeply into Jeno. Their eyes burning with questions. "Now now, don't go and bombard him." The manager said, slightly panicking as the smaller one laughed." Jeno simply gave a small wave.
"Boys please introduce yourselves." Manager Lee said. The boys all stood up.
"Hi. I'm Mark!" He smiled. His voice was calm. Jeno thought he was simply enjoying being here.
"Hello... I'm... Renjun." He said. He spoke slowly. He must be a foreigner trying to learn the language Jeno thought.
"Hi~ I'm Jisung!" The small boy waved. He seemed to be the youngest. Jeno thought he looked somewhat like a hamster, or as hamster-like as a human can get.
"Hello... I'm Chenle." His pronunciation was off slightly. The boy from before, Jisung, whispered into his ear. "Ohh. Hello. I'm Chenle!" He said, his pronunciation correct the second time.
"Hi! I'm Haechan!" He said. He was extremely energetic and was probably the one tiring out the managers. He was also very cheerful.
"I'm Jaemin." He simply said, his voice was quiet. Maybe he was shy or also uncomfortable in this situation.
All the boys looked at him, he should say something. Jeno played with his fingers as he spoke.
"I'm Jeno"
