The two walked in silence through the halls, eventually making it to their manager's car. The manager would then drop them off at the station since he knew the boys wanted to be alone.

"Maybe... maybe Renjun was right." Jeno said quietly, getting in the car. Jaemin followed suit.

"What did you say?"

"I mean... he has a point." Jeno sighed before continuing, "I really didn't tell anyone else... he... no they all deserved to know. They're also friends, right? We've all be friends for years, I just... why didn't I tell them..."

Jaemin moved over and held Jeno's hand gently. Jeno leant into his touch, resting his body on Jaemin's.

"I mean... I don't think you should pressure yourself into telling someone. You should wait until you're comfortable. I only knew because I was there." Jaemin reassured him, gently stroking his hand with his thumb.

"But... I think I still would have told you first."

"That's only natural. I don't see why you wouldn't tell me first... but still, don't force yourself to say things you don't want to." Jaemin planted a small kiss on the top of Jeno's head. Jeno smiled a little at the action.

Around 5 hours later, the boys made it to the family house. They had said goodbye to the manager a while ago, and had a relaxing ride on the train. Of course, there was nothing intimate as people could still recognise their faces.

"You have the key, right?" Jaemin said, standing close to Jeno.

"Yeah... here goes nothing." Jeno said, walking forward to the door. He put the key in the lock and turned. A loud click was heard, signalling it was unlocked. Jeno froze in his actions. He didn't know if this is what he wanted. Did he want to relive the memories? Did he want to relive the heartbreak?

"I'm here." Jaemin said softly, rubbing his hand on the middle of Jeno's back. Jeno looked over to Jaemin and nodded, pushing open the door.

The two walked inside and were hit by the dusty air. Jeno turned on the lights which thankfully worked. He turned to see a note.

Please note that the electricity supply for this house will be turned off on X month on the 30th.
Yours,
Landlord

"At least we still have time." Jaemin said, leaning over Jeno's shoulder.

"Yeah, we have time to fix this up." Jeno nodded. "Also keep your shoes on. No ones lived here so the floor will be dusty." Jeno said before turning.

In front of him was a somewhat grand staircase. He knew that upstairs was where most of the memories would be as that's where every bedroom was. To the left of the bottom of the stairs was the living room, and on the right was the dining room and the kitchen.

"Let's get to work?" asked, resting his hands on Jeno's waist.

"Yeah... do you want to take our bags upstairs?" Jeno said, turning to Jaemin. Hesitantly, he placed a kiss on Jaemin's cheek. Jaemin turned and smiled back.

"You missed my mouth, try again." Jaemin teased before placing a gentle kiss on Jeno's lips. Jeno blushed a little.

"God, what would my parents say if they see us here?" Jeno smiled.

"Oh, yeah. Um... hi I'm Na Jaemin and I- um I'm your son's boyfriend. I will take good care of him!" Jaemin said, bowing deeply. As the came back up both the boys laughed. It was one of the only genuine laughs Jeno had in the past month. He was grateful someone like Jaemin was with him.

After the boys moved their bags into Jeno's old room, Jaemin had a look in the wardrobe to hang some clothes up.

"Huh? Jeno! Come look!" Jaemin said. Jeno quickly rushed to him.

"Is everything okay?" Jeno asked, but laughed when he saw what Jaemin found.

"Look at your baby clothes! You were so tiny!" Jaemin said, pulling out a dark blue shirt with the word 'monster' written in green.

"I wasn't a baby! I was like 10 years old." Jeno said, faking annoyance.

"You were a baby then! You were so tiny you must have been so cute!" Jaemin cooed at the thought of a cute baby Jeno.

The two stood there, laughing at Jeno's choice of clothing, or well, Jeno's mother's choice of clothing. Somehow, having these laughs about his family didn't hurt anymore. He didn't feel the same pain as before. In a way, he was relieved. It felt as though he had moved on. Of course, there was the huge help that was Jaemin.

As Jeno was all caught up in his thoughts, Jeno hugged Jaemin from behind, his arms wrapping around his waist and chest.

"What are you doing~?" Jaemin said, moving his hands to hold Jeno's.

"I don't really know. Maybe I'm appreciating you? Maybe I'm saying thank you?"

"What do you have to thank me for?"

"Everything... I feel like your the reason I've made it this far..."
